Happy Christopher Street Day y'all! I was inspired to make a drawing of Mary Jones from this NPR Code Switch episode last month about her... Jules Gill-Peterson was inspiring talking about solidarity! 🤍🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

A short horror to darken up your bright summer's day.

I miss this show
Hear me out, what if period drama but make it Kalmyk?
I hear Tumblr's the place to be (again)! Sharing a quick animation I did this morning, for no reason.
Animation techniques and effects from the classic era. For more vintage movie geekery, check out my Old Hollywood Special Effects, and my Early Color Film Processes posts! (And while you’re at it, take a look at my art blog, why don’t ya?)
For an Inktober this weekend, I drew my little and... me? And a cat, because it seems like I need to put a cat in every one of my illustrations.
Some Inktober highlights since I’ve been posting them mainly on my twittter! Seems I like cats.
I <3 colours and darkness and dragons and silly things
BLIND Okoto
Been reading Tezuka’s Ayako for the first time, I always love his clarity of emotions, and the movement in the panels. So for FURIOUS, i wanted to do a Tezuka-ish illustration (plus it’s an excuse to play with Kyle’s awesome crosshatching brushes, which are AMAZING).
Another fanart Inktober for 10 - GIGANTIC. Little Shadow is one of the quiet but memorable and lovable characters who kind of disappears from Moomin’s stories after a few chapters of the comic. Doing a Tove Jansson-style piece because I love her art - all the details of the BGs kind of remind me of how mom likes to doodle. Kind of like a beautiful thoughtless carpet of plant-life growing out of the panel...
Let’s welcome the month of Halloween with open arms!
Willkommen in Inkomprehensibel! Hope you enjoy your stay as much as Harry and I have been enjoying the beautifully green and summer-ey Berlin!
It’s a cool Sunday evening where I am, I’m on the comfy tail end of a cold, and before I dive into some art things I’m working on, I’d like to share with you my new autobiographical comic Inkomprehensibel. It’s about me and the bf and how we are (or aren’t) settling into our new home in Berlin, Germany. Join if you are interested, I reckon I’ll update it on Tuesdays and Thursdays, please enjoy!

My pockets fill with stuff of nature- bits enthusiastically snapped up from the forest floor or fervently torn straight from their branches. I slumber with these pieces close to my heart, a dreamcatcher of collected phrases which sung of our journey.
