''I felt really honoured when Cass and Phil asked me to play at their warehouse party, and even more touched when they insisted for me to play a 5 hour set ! After going around the question with them I realized that they knew what they wanted, so I accepted on one condition - that they also share some tunes with us.

They will open the ball as good hosts welcoming us into their home from 2pm to 5pm. Then I will embrace my role of mood designer creating a musical journey for dancers and rhythm lovers. From 5pm to 10pm.

Stoked and proud to be hosting rehearsal at Auntie Flo for Big hART with the cast and crew running through some songs before flying to London today!

The Namatjira project is many things to many people: it is multilayered and includes a creative community development project, an original theatrical work, and an accompanying watercolour exhibition. It is also a celebration of the acclaimed watercolour artist Albert Namatjira’s life and legacy.

The project is run by arts and social change organisation Big hART, in collaboration with members of the Namatjira family and many community, government and business partners.

The theatre show and exhibition are touring to London in November 2013

The Namatjira theatre performance and exhibition have toured both nationally and internationally. And where the show tours, the project follows…The aim is to get local communities involved in sharing and learning, and we do this through watercolour masterclasses, movement workshops, seminars, talks and cultural exchange opportunities.
