"I feel like irkens would have tails and fangs. Maybe due to that, and as the empire went along, they’d have their fangs taken out at an early age and their tails would’ve been docked, similar to how some breeds of dogs would have docked tails and ears for the look. But I think for the race, it was just because of them to look less hostile. I’d like to think that they do the defanging at a young age, maybe whenever a smeet is first born, or maybe around the 4-6 month period? Same with the tail, but they wait longer to be able to let the tailbone grow and develop more as well, considering it’s probably still able to be fractured or messed with if it was docked immediately at birth(???). "Zim is a neat freak and very house proud. He has a chore chart. he tsks under his breath when GIR drags mud inside and goes to get the swiffer mop. He tidies the room before calling the Tallest so the background looks good. On the rare occasion he voluntarily has guests in his home he insists they take off their shoes. Dib gets suspicious because Zim hasn't been in skool for a couple days, and the answer is Zim's just doing his seasonal deep clean." - @overcastboy

"-Professor Membrane knows that Zim is an alien. He's not entirely oblivious. In one of the comics Gir was "dressed" as a Beeboogoat, some weird creature thing. Everyone but Dib AND Membrane believed it was real. Membrane isn't that stupid. / The reason why he pretends that Zim is normal and not an alien is because he doesn't want to feed into Dib's "delusions" because he wants Dib to grow up to be like him and not a paranormal investigator. So he doesn't care or support Dib's hobby in hopes that he'll grow out of it/get bored of it" - @parkfever0

"Zim gets really protective over what and who he likes, but he'll never admit that. Still, it's pretty obvious to people around him when he gets attached to something or someone. You actually have a death wish if you try to do anything with this 👀 (I vaguely remember semi-canon depictions of this behavior, but I'm not sure)" - Anon

"More of a theory but I think the universe we see within the show (think "universe" like the ones in the zimvoid) changes on an episodic basis– that's why they can get away with episodic plots like Bolongus Maximus and Dark Harvest and never show Zim and Dib solving the problem at the end, only to have them be back to normal the next episode. That's why there's a Zim in the Zimvoid who's stuck as Bologna– he's the one we saw in that episode. He never changed back. We just started the next episode in a new universe where that incident didn't happen. / Granted, there is some internal consistency between episodes– that's stuff that happens in all the universes. And not every episode begins in a new universe, only certain ones. Things take place in a cluster of universes where certain things are always the same or similar to each other, and the show continues until it runs out of similar universes to jump to. / Enter The Florpus looks so different from the show because it's another universe entirely– so are the episodes within the show, but for the movie, we ran out of similar universes to jump to, so we had to jump to Enter The Florpus' universe instead, which is different. The comics then pick up from that universe and ones similar to it. / This is stupid and probably has no real basis in canon, it's just how I like to explain things I'm sorry" - @the-almighty-agent-mothman
