Strolling aimlessly in a bookshop is selfcare
*me making my seventh tea / coffee of the day* maybe this little beverage will motivate me to finish my work

dark academia moods
sitting on your bed at 3am when everyone else is asleep with a lukewarm cup of tea & feeling like you have the entire world to yourself
spending high school lunch breaks alone under a tree sketching things you’ll never show anyone. or sitting in a corner of the library nose-deep in a book that hasn’t been touched for twenty years
finding out that an acquaintance likes the same obscure books you do and desperately wanting to talk to them about it. being tongue-tied and keeping quiet because you never quite know how to explain why those words make you feel like you do
going into small bookstores just to breathe in the scent of old books and browsing and daydreaming of the day you’ll own a library like this
reading poetry on the train, at breakfast, in class, everywhere you can. feeling your heart stumble at certain phrases and repeating them under your breath over and over until they’re imprinted on your tongue
enjoying sunny days because when you pause and look up, you see dust motes swirling in sunlight. wondering at the beauty of it all
I just want to work at a cute independent bookstore with a cafe in it is that too much to ask?????

The Ecologues! A lil bit of Latin lit this week :))
08.04.2020 - quarantine reading
I tried to pick out a range of books to read this month, especially as my summer reading lists are full of classical lit... I also picked up some different translations, like the French Call Me By Your Name and the English The House of the Spirits to see how they compare to the English/Spanish versions :)))
What are you guys reading in lockdown?
