Valyra made her way over to the dragon, tripping several times before finally falling against his tail and staying there. "Do space noodles get drunk?" she mumbled, giggling at the thought afterwards.

he was aware of the human behind him, but paid her no mind. … until he felt her weight on his tail, which caused him to involuntarily perk up slightly before turning his head over his shoulder to her. “My physiology wouldnt allow it.” he answered, the slightest bit of annoyance in his tone.

She paid little mind to how annoyed he sounded with her, “And what about hallucinations?” She asked quietly, drawing her knees up to her chest as she suddenly grew solemn. She remained leaning against his tail, watching him with wide crimson eyes as she waited for a response.

“also no. nothing no substance or magic has ever caused me to experience them.” he answered, unsure what she was getting at. “why the questions? and who exactly are you?”

She blinked up at him, “Oh right. Introductions are proper. I’m Valyra. Just a simple painter.“ Her head fell back to rest against his tail, letting out an appreciative hum when she felt how warm he was. “I am also currently trying to find out other forms of existence that would make me much happier.”

“other forms of existence?” he echoed. such a strange human. most would rather stay happy in their ignorance of the universe.  “and what prompted this search?”

She turned so she was facing him, “I am unhappy in this life. I am slowly dying and every time I find something to bring some small fraction of light into my life, it is always taken away no matter how hard I fight to keep it.” She ran her fingers over his tail, “But you seem to have no such worries.”

“I do not age, and no power I have yet encountered has been able to kill me.” he answered.  “you sound as if you you are losing your inspiration in life.” he added, looking to her. he wasnt sure why he cared, but something about her plight seemed... familiar.
