Color me stupid but hear me out. Soap saw a new soldier eating in the cafeteria and thought he should introduce himself. However, he ended up making a new friend who doesn't speak; instead, merely uses body language, grunts and hums to carry on a conversation. For the love of me, I don't know why, but Soap takes that in stride. Price, on the other hand, makes every effort to hide Ghost's identity, but given that Ghost enjoys being with Soap without his mask, that task is above his pay grade.

I would also like to propose that Ghost eating in the cafeteria with his mask on is just attracting more people to stare at him. Being practically anonymous he can just take his mask off and eat in peace.

Is there a fic like this? Please do tell me there is. This has been bothering me the whole day, with my fever I think my mind became worse.
