So, here we are. I’ve almost hit my post limit (something I’ve never actually done in my time here until the past week!) so I’m making my obligatory farewell-because-tumblr-done-fucked-up final post.
I created this blog on June 17, 2013. This was very close to when I moved away from my hometown for university & so many others things I could never have foreseen, so in a sense this blog has been by my side through a lot. Doesn’t mean much since it’s simply a curation of of thousands of dicks & I was never particularly active/personal with it, but it’s something.
5 years, 5 months, 29 days (or 2008 days), 6010 posts and ~4000 followers later (only just made reached both of these milestones) and we’re facing the end.
I always intended to make this blog more personal eventually, post myself maybe, but I struggled with body image esteem etc. so never got around to it & now it’s too late! I guess there’s a lesson in that.
I apologise for the spam in recent days, this is something I always tried not to do in the past. Lost quite a few followers over it. But then I also don’t care at this point. I was unloading a bunch of drafts/bookmarks that I never got around to reblogging, before archiving my blog for later “use” (wink wink).
I’ve made a twitter for now, may check out some other alternatives in the future. Hard to predict which will become most active and fruitful, it’s going to be a long time before anything of tumblr’s calibre establishes again.
I was never particularly active, very impersonal & only ever a curator of stuff I liked wanking too, but you can follow my twitter if you want. Not much to see yet. Recommend some good accounts to follow if you know any! The profile picture is me, btw.
My blog may survive initially (I’m not too clear on what’s actually happening) but I won’t be posting anymore.
