Having a pig in a city like this one was probably not the best of ideas. Especially when other animals sniffed them out. Wolves had been a problem in Gravity Falls, so she wasn’t too pleased to find them in this city as well. Shouldn’t there be a zoo or something to keep them in check? They could seriously hurt someone who didn’t have access to a grappling hook and a mean swing.

But it wasn’t like she expected anyone to come to her, or Waddles’, rescue, especially not someone so… Dazzling. Like, literally dazzling.

“Huh – What?”

An expected response for a mere powerless creature. He had to remind her of her place by landing an oppressing stare at her being, never removing his sight on her until she fully understands and takes note of the situation that she is not yet safe. Perhaps she was helped by him in the case of the wandering wolves, but who will assist her now against a half-god, half-human king? She might as well pick all the beings she believes in and pray to them one by one.

"What were you thinking, lurking in such a grievous location?"

his discontent left her entertained, really. she didn’t need to place a finger on the reason why, but playing with his type was always a game of ego, watching a man react to an insult, watching him bounce back from the blow. his reactionary skill was flawless, that on its own was something worth noting. if under such pressure on her own time, the nails on chalkboard sort of grating that such insults left on one’s ears would certainly be put to injury … mutilation, not of her own pride, but some other’s flesh. 

she was impressed, nina noted such with a nod, knocking back a shot of fiery liqueur, eyes rimming the edge of the tumbler, gaze never leaving his own. setting her preferred drink aside, nina finally indulged, leaning closer to his seat at the counter, loose curls falling over the crest of her shoulders and settling into the spill at the center of her collarbone. 

“ guess that opinion differs depending on experience and species, huh? it’s something i have the drive to do, something i know i will do, at least now. fucking with gods that take up creation that isn’t even their own, i mean. ”

a shrug.

“ a short kiss? you think my lung capacity’s that horrible? i thought you said you were gonna leave my pride intact. guess your ability to keep a promise is just as dead as you are. but let me tell ya’, it doesn’t matter. you don’t matter to me, me to you, i think we’ve made that clear. but you are a hell of a pretty face. one that’s gonna get hella roughed up if you really try to lay the moves on me without backing up that ego first. ”

“ my king? i’m the alpha here, you know. those human titles meant something to me – fuckin’ around like a pup with someone they actually really held some weight for. but you? you’re just a stranger. i’m going on an entirely different mindset here. you want me to bow? take it like a bitch, right? honey, i don’t think that body of yours could take me riding you. that’s just plain simple. ”

There was a dare-- a tremendously fearsome challenge and the king likes being adored enough to be placed on the spot where he has to participate, or else it'd bruise his credibility and his ego that she seems to want to claw, scratch with that nails of hers with no drop of mercy against his skin. If there was something that immediately hatched from this meeting, it was the fact that Archer's prediction of her hadn't been one of the many coincidences-- she is truthfully a crude animal of her own that needs a little taming in order to behave.

He wouldn't mind doing that for however long.

Another mouthful batch of words that matched his short-temperament. He had followed the lead she pushed before him-- the clearance of mere distance in a way she wanted to make him believe otherwise or perhaps not-- it was very designed, very well-thought out at that. The Sumerian king does not take her for a fool who would thrust herself to the danger that he is, but he does take her to be a woman enough to let him do the thrusting. Not as though he wouldn't enjoy the taste of being dominated from time to time.

"You appear to loathe these hypocrites claiming and naming themselves as gods. Divinity in itself is wonderful in the eyes-- beautiful in the ears. Taste and you'll know the certainty in it-- but pleasure reigns all feelings."

Not even the comfort of god could defeat the experience of heavy release, or the warmth of bodies when they collide-- something that all senses could understand including the sixth one. Surely, she knew exactly what he was talking about and there was no point in trying to beat the bush in their conversation-- Gilgamesh was not here to hear her moan more about her capability of handling him or defeating him in any manner. He'd rather hear her delightful, pleasured screams.

"Proving me wrong shouldn't be that unmanageable of a task for a woman of your caliber and you talk so much about how you find one pretty for a mere stranger. Hide your wants better, or drink a little more. This night is much as ours."

The shopping central of the city really was impressive, the witch gave it that. It was a modern bazaar, filled to the brim with the desires of any individual. It was a magic all its own.

Traversing through it in her human piece’s attire was thrilling – she could see all sorts of goods, and the people who bought and sold them. It was a fun day for a witch like her. Especially when she could see interesting characters.

Like the man standing in front of the cafe where she sat. His body was clad in golden, shimmering armor. How was he not melting in this heat? He stuck out like a sore thumb; it was amusing enough for her to openly laugh at him, it reaching the perfect volume for him to hear her.

“My, my, what a statuesque view! Ufufufuuu!”

It would take a handful to mollify a king's anger, especially Archer's. Fuyuki City's priest kept him company for a day, but much to his dismay no such entertainment equaled from their reunion and that let him down more than anything. Covenant, was it? Hardly. He would only expect something akin to it from one person and one person alone. Where did the disappointment route from, he wordlessly contemplates and long before he realizes the answer to this troublesome question, he was approached without his permission.

And he didn't even grace them with a greeting by facing them. They’re only worthy of talking to his back, whoever they are. Even that deserves a thank you no less.

"Convivial, aren't we?" That pleasantly merry voice, so festive-- so full of joy with the mischief scarcely hidden. Intentional? He could bet if he had a better view of their face, but not.

They all flocked like to him like hungry dogs finding a bone after a week of not finding any. Afterwards, they spread out as if avoiding a threat-- well, for one, it was an actual threat-- no one can mistake that baleful glance as something gentle or friendly. He has the pretty face, the kind of beauty that everyone would appreciate no matter the gender as he was molded to be the epitome of perfection in itself-- if only his morality did not stain that captivating visage.

So, despite him standing before the large golden cup for what seem to be an hour now, no one dared to tell him off. They were both allured and intimidated by him to even initiate an approach, but it was evident that he wanted to take that cup despite it belonging to him already in the first place.

It could be the physical features, the expected self-entitled attitude or the beastly smell-- enough to allow the nose to wrinkle and eyebrows to knit. Though he did have the slightest of idea on why he knew there was something off about this meeting, he wasn't certain himself. She did mention having to meet her future self, didn't she? He only took it as her purposely trying to lure him within her metaphorical nonsense, but the possibility of her telling him the precise truth that night was laid properly before the King of Babylonia and his crossed arms should indicate a newfound interest he has in her being in general.

"Speak. I wish to see that bashful attitude of yours once more."

There's not much explaining for the Sumerian king to do when the temperature rises and the heat wave caresses the skin. His armor would not do him any good and the casual clothes he had previously used would only make so little difference. So, why not just remove his top and allow the red lines all over his body to be exposed for everyone to see? That is not an act made to brag or to catch attention-- only to save himself from the scourging heat but it seems eyes can't remain where they should and... he could only jolt a stare-- blinding one that blended with an unwelcoming drive.

“...shoo.”

"Hah, what's with you?" Head tilted on the side and eyes gently scanning the expression of a girl who stood before him. It didn't look like she needed something, certainly not from someone like him who does not possess anything.. for now, though he thinks otherwise. He owns the world and everything in it, including the ground she's currently stepping and breathing on.

"No one ever told you how it's disrespectful to stare or are you simply admiring?"

The King and The Goddess

Anger seethed through her on the man that kept rejecting her. Over and over he did not learn but in this place. She was the goddess and he had no choice. At least in her mind he had no choice but to succumb to her. She would begin to laugh at the mongrel that stood before her, eyes hidden behind the bang as she landed on top of one of the light posts, looking down on him as she continued to laugh.

“… oh dear me dear me… Did not the maggots infesting that body teach you anything”

She remained quite but the look in her eyes were death daggers toward the king. She might not have her powers but she still had the upper hand. At least in she thought to herself as she tilted her head and smirked at him. One pale finger pointed toward him. She was ready to kill him but what fun was it to do so. Oh no, she wanted to see if he had made any bonds in this place, and kill them off, one at a time. After all, in her world he had found an unfortunate soul to befriend. It was much more fun watching him despair ridden. But for now she merely remained watching over him. He was different but the same nevertheless. Arrogant, and insulting and never learning. Did he not fear death? Or was this another king. If that was the case, the laughter that came out only began to increase more. How fitting, how very fitting.

This obsession may seem embryonic to some, but much to Gilgamesh's dismay, this had gone far long enough-- far long enough to elicit another mouthful growl from the gesture. He had watched her bounce herself onto wherever she desired and had not found offense in her foolish act of pointing the blame. She had been shifting it for a time and if his only decision to be cautious was what led to Enkidu's slaughter-- it would only make him not want to kneel before her presence all the more. She had killed the only friend he knew, he had. There was no forgiveness or kindness to spare.

"The only maggots that will infest this body are your fingers when they dare enough to lay upon my skin."

If his only friend is here, it is only a matter of time for the goddess to find him. The Archer-classed Servant would not allow him to experience a second death-- no-- not when there's a high chance of them sharing joy together again. Such happiness must not be once again ended by the woman he couldn't accept by his side. His glance cut through hers, matching the killing intent present within desperate eyes. The King of Heroes wore a strict demeanor and if he was as powerful as he used to, he wouldn't hesitate to open his capital and shoot a torrent of swords at her direction in a heartbeat.

But there was an even better death prepared-- the use of the chains he named after the only companion he valued.

Seclusion might as well be the word to go to in order to describe the fate of what remained of the District. Surrounded in thick walls of concrete it was and shades present no matter where one blinks. As he pondered the value of the scenery, he stumbled upon weathered books and stepped on some. Hand carefully picked the filthy item by the hilt, if only to check if a title's still readable or if the cover was still in tact. He was not one to pleasure himself by reading, but knowledge in itself could help him obtain information to find escape.

It's within his power to obfuscate-- further improve the complexity of certain situations if he so wishes and all his desires will be fulfilled.

In this case, legs folded in class and in between kingly fingers were playing cards. Class abilities play a big role in a Servant's chances of obtaining the Holy Grail. When it came to Gilgamesh and his advantages as an Archer-classed Heroic Spirit, his luck would pay out no matter the department. So, it was not surprising that he won poker matches in ten straight rounds. Some part of the players accused him of cheating, but no matter the kind of game presented for him to play, he would always rise as the victor.

Who will come to this casino to defeat him before every gold is collected by him?

Absurdness was kept even when hands were neatly buried inside the pockets of jet black slacks. Hair down and sleeves properly ironed, one would mistake him as a model in his natural state. Beyond the conventionally attractive looks lies danger, but fooling people had never been such a hard task. In a sense it was not his fault-- they were the ones who mistook his role in this city in the first place.

While deep in thought about what to do, mild rain began to pour. Expected of him to not bring an umbrella or anything that could render him untouched by the drops. After all, a little water never hurt anyone.

He’d asked her if she’d wanted him to come with her.

She’d said no– because she’d wanted to be alone (she hadn’t told him that), because it was just a trip across the street and it was perfectly safe for her to go by herself (that part she did tell him, insisted on actually).

She’d taken the Transistor with her though, so she’s not sure how much he’d believed her. 

She’s standing in a pastel pink aisle full of feminine hygiene products when two masked men walk into the pharmacy. They’ve got guns and gritty voices, and Red does little more than raise an eyebrow and drop her tampons of choice into her plastic basket. 

She turns to the only other person in the vicinity– a blonde man who seems just as unimpressed by this attempt at robbery.

“They told us to get on the floor, you know..” She says, despite showing no signs of getting off her feet anytime soon.

Get on the floor?

The Babylonian king's smile hadn't faltered one bit as gentle gaze turned towards the people in question. Weapon aimed-- or so he could only assume that's what they were considering how he have seen them in the Wars he have participated in before-- howls echoed, not even a sliver of fear reached his heart-- if he had one to begin with. Studious glance was now then directed at the woman who previously addressed him and he could very much tell that this didn't even look that much of a threat to her, or perhaps they were both callous enough when met with situations akin to this-- nothing new to send shivers down nasty spines.

"Should I...?" He, who is king, bow down to mere mongrels thinking they could get away with attempting to steal what's his. This place and everything in it belongs to him-- including her. "More like... should we? Would it be worth the time? Effort?"

there was a motion of question in her direction. the best was reserved for her here, after all. this was her place. nina gave a languid shrug, rolling her eyes with the motion of her shoulders, the outward cupping of her palms. she was a hard person to get to sit still, shifting in her seat as often as she changed the position with which she supported her upper body upon her arms, eyes everywhere, constantly watching. pointed ears twitched on occasion. there was a lot to take in, a lot to pay attention to if even the alpha of the area didn’t want her throat slit in the middle of a conversation.

that was the way she loved it. thriving in this situation was her maturity. 

“ so the dead one’s going on making death threats! hilarious, really. you don’t think i can smell it on you? death is cheap here, don’t you know? and i’ve already had the pleasure of meeting the ghost of my future self. i know my finality, and it sure as all hell isn’t you. you’re clearly an asshole, but not enough to surpass a god. ”

she stopped momentarily in her stationary rounds, removing her eyes from those that needed to be watched to leer at the man who’d just made such a disgusting face. the kind that found itself so easily on a man who thought she was easily bested. 

her response was a show of sawlike incisors and the way the concrete surface of her own bar began to crumble between the fingers that held on to its edges.

“ that word has no definition to my species. it doesn’t need to. it doesn’t exist. would tonight be your first getting your throat bitten out? you’re such a pretty face, but the only nice sounds i could ever see you making are akin to that gurgling your prey makes when it tries to breathe through a split trachea! ”

Countless vagabonds ending up at every corner with their life hanging by a thin string, one that can be pulled with gentle fingers effortlessly and win against such silly notions as courage. She had not thought it smart to plainly close her mouth or indulge in the drink being served. Ruby eyes sharply watched the crowd and the Servant harbored a single feeling towards them in general: they all lack in bestial valor that this woman before him possessed and though while that in itself isn't worth the praise or humiliation-- it was something that took his interest with a grain of salt.

Gilgamesh's hand remained brushing at the skin of his chin, rubbing it softly as she proceeded to howl in response. The way she took his words and replied in aggression made him want to see more of her desiring to make herself seem intimidating when the King of Heroes have faced many feats far larger than a crack to boot-- Ishtar's wrath for example. He did not seem fazed at all at the sudden lack of friendliness and the refusal to submit to his whims. Far be it for him to get offended--- not really-- he finds it as a grand discourtesy and she will one day pay the price.

"I did not dare to even dream surpassing gods in any way. I'd already have is the correct way to put it, simple as it is. Do you always talk this much when being treated more than you rightfully deserve? A thanks or a short kiss and I will avert my eyes from your foolishness. However, your pride is heightened. Surely you do not wish to be degraded now and so I shall let it be."

"You're not bad yourself," he allowed himself to admit. "I do not normally bed with the likes of you. I am willing to offer an exception, however. If only to gladly reward you for definitely entertaining your king for tonight."

The King and The Goddess

Oh, how delightful! How disgustingly delightful! She could not believe who she had run into as she was scouting these sectors and underground places.

“So you’ve been sucked into this place as well…. oh how sad…. don’t tell me Enkidu is here… I would hate to see him die again”

Her voice echoed as she floated up and was looking down upon the king. It was strange how she was able to see Goldy Boy from where she stood but it seemed the king was finally in her grasp once more. The one who rejected her, oh how wonderful, now she can finally make him grovel beneath her feet as she chuckled and spoke to him:

“Silim Sum! or should I say…. just grovel before me Sar and maybe I will forgive you“

Bound in ire he raised his royal head, if only to greet the savage that is the goddess. This seasonable intervention would mean nothing to the king, but the sudden mention of a deceased friend made him growl under his breath and shoot a menacing glare at her being. No hint of regret towards his rejection stayed within him and as far as regret goes, refusing to be her lover had been and would be one he will applaud himself to have decided up to this day and age. Were divine creatures always this loud and annoying? Gilgamesh thought to himself as he irritatingly scoffed.

"For you to not have an idea would mean you have lost your potential as well," Archer found this amusing, yet he did not display his contentedness. "There is nothing to forgive. I merely rejected you and I will gladly do so again if I must."
