@automatano
I tried my hand at some simple macro photography last summer. Although not great, a very fun exercise. Not to break anyone’s heart but If you zoom in on the bumblebee you can see the mites sucking the life out of him, he was on his last breath. Enlarging that which is small and may seem significant reveals details that creates connections. Again, not to put anyone off, but zoom in on the aphid queen and behold the miracle of life. You have been warned. Btw the picture of aphids encompasses the whole life cycle; Birth, adulthood, late life, death. Those white things are old aphids that has been sucked dry by the young ones and all that is left is their shriveled up dry bodies. When recycling goes to far.
An everyday illustration of organic nonsense.
Boop Dog
Have you ever had the urge to boop shit? No? Well I have, all the freaking time. My company logo buddy Automata Bot lives the dream for me. In this particular image a french bulldog is squeezed into existence from an old oil paint tube and is immediately fingered on the nose by my bot. Please tell me I'm not weird. I'm not. Right.. RIGHT!
Sky Orcas
My wife wanted a nice family photo, but I can't just do regular portraits. I had to make what was in my mind at the time, which was my three year old playing with starving, murderous and flying killer whales in the sky.
Shards
Sometimes shit hits the fan, sometimes stuff breaks. The important thing is to whine to everybody about it and do nothing
Mortality Explored There is only a few certainties in the world; We are all gonna die and if you slap a sandwich on the back of a cat and drop it from a height it will become a perpetual motion machine. This is how humanity will survive the energy crisis. There, human mortality explored.
Fishermans Dream
Illustration number two in my series of family portraits. Im so tired of family photos displaying the same people, in the same setting, getting fatter and older around the same table. If you took each of those photos and put them in an animation it would be a sad three second blip of a human going through the three stages of the human conditions. So while I was searching for inspiration I happened upon a series of images made by a blogger named Venessa. In particular I liked one of the photos of her kid fishing in his own room, so I had to steal the idea like a fucking thief.
Everyday Garden Hero (Procrastadragon slayer) I was contacted by the dude behind Dreams N Dragon that has created a quite remarkable app. This app can help anyone struggling to find meaning with their existence and has a cure for the feeling of not having a goal or a purpose in life. This often lead to depression and worse and the majority of people can't afford or is never appointed to a psychologist or anyone that can actually help. Of course shit like this is close to my heart so I accepted the challenge.
This is me
I'm a Digital Storyteller. My favorite thing in the world is to create small unique universes for people, to help them shine and to show them something different and magical about themselves. My purpose is simple; One day I want to look back at my life and feel that my illustrative work made the world slightly better then it was. I mainly work with photography, photo manipulation, 3D-design and general art. I am reasonably proficient in most art and design technologies and I also do more traditional and classical art like painting, sketching and drawing with all kinds of different mediums. My digital weapons of choice are Photoshop, Cinema4D, Lightroom and Illustrator. In my spare time I hang out with my two sons, my wife and my dog Ponyo. I create music under the pseudonym Brushbender on Spotify, and strive to live with as little stress as possible.
