rinezha moments i can't stop thinking about
this is so “do you love him?” “yes. more than anyone else in the world” and “fight well. keep us safe. i love you.” and “he loves her. of this he is certain” and “is there anyone in the coalition you trust?” “venka” and “lovely, wonderful kitay” and “she would draw this moment out forever if she could” and “i left for you” and “i’ll hate you for it but i’ll love you forever” and “she terrifies him and he loves her so much it hurts” and “should’ve realized that venka was trying to save her life” and “kitay. her best friend. her anchor” and “ah, i get it. you’re in love” and “did they love one another so fiercely, so desperately?” and rin and nezha and kitay and venka
let's leave when we're still half in love; when the glasses are still tinted rose. let's leave when the memories are still fond for us to look back to.

You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart.
Louise Erdrich (via onlinecounsellingcollege)
Whenever you are feeling useless, think about this: does it serve any higher purpose for you to be productive all the time, never taking a break? Yes, you might feel more accomplished, but you will feel burned out, tired, lonely, and you will never be accomplished enough or successful enough because we are constantly compared to others.
The person who needs you to be productive all the time is not you. It's the owner of a company. The money you make for this system will never come back to you in any form.
Why do we feel guilty? Guilty for asking for time off? For vacations that last longer? For getting sick and going to the hospital? Or for staying with our families?
We were made to think that being overly productive defines our value as a person, but it doesn't. It only keeps us trapped, without any access to what we produce or time off. How can we feel truly valuable if we don't have time to live our own lives? Why don't we have quality of life? Why are we always so ashamed when we are not being productive all day long?
This is a mindset we need to let go of with urgency, because productivity does not measure our worth as human beings. Believing this is bringing upon us what we've been calling burnout culture. It is unhealthy to live this way. We can never be enough, we can never be satisfied, we can never produce enough, we can't rest. It's time to change this radical way of associating value in a person according to how much they can work and how much they sacrifice to be productive.
Lone Sailor At Sea
You’ve looked up for far too long Meeting and departures, ever on the move You’ve been trying to decipher constellations Drawing lines between dead stars Staring at dark clouds that never seem to pass How do you look down when you’re too far gone?
When your sail is torn and your will is worn Raise your head forward and steady yourself on the eyepiece We are each other’s Polaris You are my northern star as I am your axis Alter, adapt, adjust into whoever you might be You’ve shone in the dark to point me the way back home Now I will hold you still as your waves moves through the storm
This was your first life, and now you’ve had your first death.
There will be no blood to shed. No toes-curling scream nor a eulogy to carry you beyond the grave. The first death is slow and silent.
You die when there are only mountains after mountains you have to keep climbing until your body rots away. When the heat of the sun that once kept you warm had burned your skin raw and its light had blinded your eyes.
Like a warm hand that turned cold, the color drains, the music halts, the dancing stops.
This is both the end of your life, and the choice of resurrection. You must die first, before you value the chance to be born again.
—a.z / This is how you die your first death.
Wherever you are, be all there.
Jim Elliot (via quotemadness)
“Hiding your hurt only intensifies it. Problems grow in the dark and only become bigger and bigger, but when exposed to the light of truth, they shrink. You are only as sick as your secrets. So take off your mask, stop pretending you’re perfect and walk into freedom.”
— Rick Warren

most of the the reason we go to therapy is that a safe relationship and healthy attachment are a good chunk of the healing and this is why skating by solely on social media tidbits isn’t enough, pass it on
Nothing needs to be "wrong" with you to go to a therapist.
“Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.”
— Christian D. Larson
