I got prems from beast anon to make this oc

I also do have a variant of this oc for the Redcoat Alexander au but this blog is not for that version of him and he is human there

Will create a full ref soon i just am not liking how it's turning out

He makes his way to his den, a little burrow underneath a large tree in its roots, its dappled in trinkets and objects he stole, with a small nest of leaves and blankets in the center

He turns around to make sure he was not followed before laying down and curling in on himself like a fox and falling asleep

There is another wolf in the forest(same one that bit you), it notices you and runs away skittishly

*He straightens upon hearing the sound.

the creature in the bushes visibly doesn't like being called out to, but it's shape is still in distinguishable

*Lafayette steps closer to it, like an idiot with no self-preservation.

the creature in an act of self defense lunges and bites him on his forearm before making an escape into the woods

The creature resembled a large wolf, very similar to depictions of the Beast of Gevaudan

There's some more rustling in the foliage, the creature lifts its head away from the elk it was eating and hisses loudly, lifting it's back like a cat, before scurrying off again, faster than a horse

*Lafayette raises his musket, only for it to run off—

Ach, merde...

*— then he goes after it.

the beast comes to a quick halt and turns around, it stands on its hind legs, snarling

Ah!

*Lafayette raises the gun again, more determined now, but his hands shake as he aims.

Even as he shoots, even if he doesn't miss, he won’t hit it somewhere vital.

the beast shrieks upon being hit, blood leaking from shoulder, it hits him with its long tail right on the bite, trying to disarm him

*Lafayette inhales sharply at the hit to his arm, stepping back as he picks his musket back up and begins quickly affixing a bayonet to it, then pointing it at the beast.

the creature panics and moves out of the way, it bats at him with its paw like a cat

*Lafayetts face twists slightly in confusion; he had expected it to be more aggressive—

He takes the opportunity to lunge at it and attempt to stab it with the bayonet.

A note appears at the base of his tent, footprints disappearing into the mass of footprints from other members of the army and their families

I'm writing this in a worse case scenario so if it ends up false forget this was ever written.

I'm apologizing for "my" actions and how they're affecting you. I hope it's nothing too severe, but the horror stories I've heard have made me decide this is the least I can do.

Just know that I am sorry, truly sorry, and I feel a great regret for "my" actions. I hope for the best.

Dear Diary,

Oh my god what have I done

I'm having only vague memories of a few nights ago but if those are to be believed I have made a grand mistake.

Camp rumors (I hope)are only rumors

But if they find out what I've done I could be hanged or worse. I'm a beast and cannot be trusted.

I can't bring myself to write more, what if someone reads this? I shall stop for the worse, maybe even burn this page.
