I haven't posted in a long time. I finally finished my education and also found out I was pregnant BUT I finally finished one of my Grandma's stories 😭 it's digital or paperback. Waiting on my author copies to come in so I can give Grandma one. I can't wait for her to read it. She wanted me to add in my own writing style. Plus I added details relevant to the time period.

Why is writing so dang hard?
My Grandmothers short story is exactly that...short. Yet I can’t seem to finish writing it up?? We have been updating/remodeling our new place and trying to get it refinanced but I still get free time every now and then. Instead I wanna watch Kdramas, anime, Jane Austen movies and etc. I have my office/guest room mostly done now though and it does give me a sense of...privacy? Hopefully soon I can get the weight of talking to banks off my chest and go back to writing.
Reasons why I love my husband...
My husband went to this get together event that I couldn't go to. I had to work sadly. He came home and proceeded to shove brownies at me. He said, "I know you like these and you couldn't go so I put as many as I could in my pocket for you." 😂😂
I either look good or homeless...
So my husband had to go to the next town over and while there he got himself dinner. I took this chance to do a little shopping and I thought...I want Chinese nearby. Here I am, happily eating and looking at my phone when a middle aged man comes up and says," Um Mam, I paid for your food." Then proceeds to practically run away while saying, "God Bless!" Over his shoulder. I managed a meek, "Oh. Thank you!" Before he disappeared.....I was throughly confused. Did I look lonely? I straightened my hair that day, did I look unresistable to middle aged men? Or maybe I looked homeless instead?? Was he being nice or was he being creepy? I dunno....but I got free food. 😂
We got a kitten! Now we have a 12 yr old cat and a 12 weeks old one. She loves the laundry. Also while I was typing up some more of my grandmas story, she curled up on my chest and watched me type. So stinking cute.

Sooo....I haven’t kept posting because my husband and I got really sick in may...then we heard of a place for sale cheap...then we bought it! It needs some new floor and paint...paint everywhere...but I finally feel settled enough and rested enough to enjoy posting again.
Also my grandma is super happy that we live near her now
One of the best things i’ve ever done was fit my ottoman against the couch and then put a thick mattress topper on top.I feel it up with pillows and blankets. It is comfy, guests can sleep on it if I don’t have an extra bed and my kitty loves it. :D
My grandma’s new tree house! Grandma ok but house not so much. A tree fell during a severe thunderstorm...on my Grandma’s house! Thankfully my grandma wasn’t home. She is fine. One of her cats died also. :( Poor Grandma!
Comfy chair...check. Electric blanket...check. Cup of tea...check. Laptop...check.Cat....check. Rainy day.....check.

Slump
I work mostly from a computer at home for my job. At the end of the day, I really don’t want to type up anymore of my Grandmother’s story. I’m tired of looking at a computer screen....I really wanna get it all written out though so she can read it and see what she thinks.
My Grandmother’s story takes place somewhere in far eastern Canada. Off one of the islands. I’ve been doing some research so that I can picture the area better. My Grandma is from Vermont and used to go up into Canada, so i’m sure she has a certain scenery she imagines. I found an area that I think will fit the story well! Bonavista, Newfoundland. A Jagged, Sharp, Coast line.... Even has an old fence that is mentioned in the book.
New Laptop
So...Story time. My husband likes to build computers on the side. His mother needed a new one so he built her one. The old one had a couple reusable parts. I took one look at him and said, “ Don’t you dare touch my computer. It’s on it’s last legs and i’m trying to make it last till summer of 2019.” ............Well I woke up the very next day to him working on my computer. I said, “ Um....Whatcha doin?” he replied with “ Your computer isn’t turning on and it should be turning on!” I said, “YEA IT SHOULD”
Turns out he didn’t listen to me and when he tried to put in extra ram it died. I think he said he’s pretty sure its the hard drive. But the good news is I finally got a NEW LAPTOP!Now I can update again and hopefully I can get Grandma’s story typed out quicker. It’s coming together nicely.
Lighthouse Man
I’m reading a notebook that has the full story of what Grandma titled, “Lighthouse Man” written in it. So far so good.....except she was so caught up in her story, she forgot to describe what the main characters look like. Lol. How am I supposed to picture them stranded on an island together after a shipwreck, if I don’t know if this english man handsome!?
Grandma’s Stories
I’ve always dreamed of being one of those people that write daily, blog, give motivational quotes, DIY projects and so on. I decided to try. A little. My goal is to publish some of my Grandma’s stories that she wrote herself. (On Amazon Kindle) She would read to me as a kid all these wonderful stories! I’m working on one right now with her. She is super excited. (oh gosh what have I done?!) I’ll do my best to update.
