A Few Transmisogynistic Things I've seen in the last two years:

One of the "Former TERF" Transmascs who came up with Transandrophobia theory has dropped the former part, detransitioned, and is also now an avowed Nazi. Followers of the ideology claim that this is a non-issue on how they view the ideology.

Two separate transmascs and one cis woman "ally" made videos lolcowing "acceptable target" transfems.

One of the most prominent serial harassers of Trans women on this site was outed as a Kiwifarms user and fully bought into the Pizza-gate conspiracy. Many people who participated in the campaigns they ran are saying "Well I'm certain they were right about the ones I harassed."

Tumblr Staff's Rate of banning trans women reached a mass so noticeable that it made news. Tumblr claims that this was in error, but has continued to ban at the same rate, and hopes everyone forgets that they were previously sued (and settled) for anti-LGBTQ bias in its moderation, confessed to having moderators taking bribes to ban targeted users, and its own CEO stalked a trans woman across multiple social media sites.

Men (both cis and trans) unironically state with their full chest that the basic assertions of transfeminism are Misandry and harass trans women about this.

Rant about Catholic Instagram situation

If you’re on Catholic Instagram (as I unfortunately am sometimes) you may know about a dude named catholicsam, who is, frankly, an arrogant and insufferable asshole. And like, I don’t find it useful to make a post ranting about how much I dislike somebody, in general. But guys like him are the problem with modern Catholicism. It’s not progressive Catholics, or Catholics whose primary “progressive” concern is really just basic empathy for the poor and war-torn and calling out systemic injustices and greed. It’s people like catholicsam who find it more useful to bash gay people and debate whether or not KISSING your partner before marriage is a sin than to actually use their faith to lift anyone up or to bring any meaningful kind of unity to Christianity. You can curate your online image and aesthetic around your faith, you can post edits about Jesus and post about how the pope has “aura,” and you can speak authoritatively on Instagram as a layperson, but none of that is worth shit if you’re doing it out of pride instead of compassion. If your “faith-based” content is centered around taking other people’s views (and sometimes jokes) disingenuously so you can exercise some kind of rude superiority over them, you’re not doing what Jesus or the church itself teaches you to do.

I don’t really care about the kissing discourse. It’s pretty apparent at face value how pointless it is to engage with. But as far as catholicsam’s homophobia and transphobia, I know that no one will be able to convince people like him that they’re wrong about “homosexual acts” or “mutilating your body” being sinful, and no pope has actually said that they aren’t; but they have encouraged kindness towards queer individuals, which means that getting online to put them in their place, so to speak, is in itself sinful.

Obviously, I’m a queer Catholic, and I don’t believe there is anything at all sinful about queerness. But there’s no point in giving my arguments as to why because people like catholicsam have decided that being Catholic on the internet is not about kindness or compassion or open-mindedness; it’s about telling people to “submit to Rome” and using the license of Catholicism to voice a deep-rooted egotism.

I've never understood the mindset that getting blocked by someone online is like, a loss or a defeat or something. People will say rude shit or mess with someone and then be like "haha they blocked me, I win." No dude, you just got blocked because that person doesn't want to hear from you. There are exceptions to this obviously, but in general it just doesn't mean anything deep. This is not real life, this is the internet. You don't have to put up with anyone, and no one has to put up with you if you're being an asshole.

Honestly if you fall for celebrity smear campaigns I think you either just enjoy hating people or you’re just plain stupid. Especially when the smear is based on something that’s barely worth hating somebody over, or when it’s is in direct defense of another (probably actually shitty) celebrity. And especially, in that case, if the celebrity being smeared is a woman and the one being defended is a man. And that man has a much more established position in the entertainment industry. And dated this woman when he was twice her age. And has a record of making gross and misogynistic and pedophilic remarks that have been played off or ignored for years and years.

Coming back to this thought, these people have overused the word “heresy” so much that now I can barely write it in my gothic fantasy novel without feeling just a little bit cringe. And that’s literally like one of the only contexts in 2026 where you can use the H-word without sounding like an out-of-touch loser

As someone who used to be a HUGE fan of Marilyn Manson for basically all of my teenage years… looking at his fandom now, it’s kind of shocking how much they treat this creepy middle-aged man who doesn’t give a fuck about them like an actual cult leader. Like, MAGA levels of “he never did that, and if he did he didn’t mean it like that, and if he did then it’s ok, and if it’s not then he never did that.” Honestly, every once in a while, I feel tempted to listen to his music again, but then I just think about how deeply evil he is in a way that bleeds into every aspect of his image and makes it utterly impossible to “separate art from the artist” (whatever that fucking means).

First of all, don't ever compare the Manson fandom to MAGA ever again.

Second of all, we believe Manson is innocent because of the evidence that has been made available by multiple parties on his side proofing his accusers wrong (unlike said accusers who have not provided anything in almost 6 years)

Third of all, we don't blindly believe Manson is an "uwu baby angel whose never done anything wrong in his life" because that is not true. He's done bad things in his life, and stuff i don't agree with (for example, I believe he should not have dated erw because of the age gap). However, the good that Manson has done has outweighed the bad.

All in all, its clear you didn't do any actual research into the case and only listened to one side because it suited you.

Also, its funny how the 2 comments on this post were blocked or removed, clearly you don't like it when someone challenges your flawed views.

I think both of you are missing the point of my post. If you aren’t the type of fans who idolize him in that way then you’re not who I was talking about in the first place, for one thing. Second, even if we dismiss specific accusers like Evan Rachel Wood, that doesn’t make Manson any less of a creepy douchebag. We’re supposed to just act like the guy who talked about wanting to put his whole arm inside an eighth grade girl is innocent?

Thirdly, I think both of you missed the point of the MAGA comparison. It was to draw similarities between the two as cults of personality and to act like it was anything else is a disingenuous response to my post.

And on the topic of blocking people, the commenter I blocked was trying to just troll me instead of actually responding in a way that matters, so of course I don’t want to waste my time with people like that. But since you two are actually responding, it seemed fair to actually engage in conversation, so thank you for that.

squiriminourbellies— I did do a lot of research into the case, and into things outside of the case. It’s the latter that I find much more damning, to be honest. You really think that as a former fan, I didn’t really want Manson to be innocent? You think I went into that research hoping to convince myself he was guilty? That’s absurdly cynical. And also just because the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence (since these crimes are incredibly hard to prove even when they are true), that doesn’t mean he’s innocent.

massivefuckingfreak— you bring up a bunch of other bands as if you expect me to not also hate those bands. It’s a really strange whataboutism that seems like more of an appeal to apathy than a real argument. Fuck Motley Crue and Metallica and Pantera, too.

Lastly, do either of you think my original post was meant for Manson’s fandom? It only had one tag and that tag was “Marilyn Manson is an abuser.” Yet somehow Manson’s fans are the only ones seeking out posts about what a piece of shit he is, which just strikes me as odd, since you seem to think I’m the one sticking my nose in places I don’t want to be when that’s actually what you guys are doing. If it wasn’t then we wouldn’t be crossing paths.

And what if I told you the broad category of “sexual immorality” including everything from bestiality to masturbation is one of the things that enables Christians (especially MAGA ones, obviously) to not take rape and pedophilia as seriously as they should. It’s hard to see that stuff as irredeemably evil when it’s supposedly in the same vein as having consensual premarital sex.
