Autumn around the corner!

Autumn is around the corner and that means it’s time to start making preparations again, for Mabon/ Autumn Equinox!! I really only “celebrate” the Mabon - Samhain - Yule, I do sometimes “celebrate” Lahnasadh as well, every other year or so.

tips for walking in an abandoned graveyard

if it’s dark, don’t shine your flashlight into the trees.

if a child approaches and asks you a question, don’t tell the truth.

you may find some harrowing artifacts (i found a ribbon on a tree and some bible pages) pick these up and keep them. they belong to you.

if you walk down a long, straight pathway, you will feel someone behind you. don’t look

you may see people in your peripheral vision; these are the spirits. they won’t hurt you.

if you wish to communicate with the spirits, do not do it alone. cast a protection circle. only ask polite questions.

you will feel bursts of dread and terror. ignore them.

don’t read too much into what the graves say. some things are best left unsolved.

research the history of the graveyard beforehand. you need to know what you might encounter.

some beings may not want you to leave. should you come into contact with one of these beings, leave immediately.

don’t read the hidden graves.

if you find a headless angel statue, don’t look for her head.

if you find a tipped over angel statue, leave her be. she’s only resting.

don’t listen to music. this will distract you from them.

don’t look in the bushes. you will find something that you weren’t supposed to.

Mabon Reverse Candied Apple Recipe 🍎

This recipe can be made vegan for those of you that are! Some items are allergens so I’ll name it with a star so you know it can be swapped in the recipe wih another item of your choice. You can add any little things you like, this is just the basics on a fun little holiday treat I accidentally made last year~

Ingredients

An Apple

Caramel

Nuts of any kind ☆

Cinnamon ☆

Whipped Cream ☆

Tools

Scoop

A pan

Oven

Knife that can cut through an apple to the core

Prep

Take the apple and cut it in half with a knife, pick out any seeds before going to the next step.

Scoop the center of the halved apples and recycle it.

Pour caramel into the centers that have been scooped.

Put in your smaller salty ingredient, I use nuts but you can substitute it!

Sprinkle some cinnamon, which can also be substituted with some other flavoring of your choice.

Place the halves with their cut sides up on a pan and put in the oven.

Bake for 10 minutes at 310°f

Leave out to cool for another 10 minutes

Put some whipped cream, or your substitute for it, over the caramel center and you’re done!

I tried out my Mabon Apple Tart recipe today and I’m thinking that if it tastes as good as it looks it will be a 5 Star hit!!! I’ll post a recipe etc once I get a chance!
