i love the aesthetics of a low-tech robotgirl, built from bike parts, with exposed chains and sprokets. she has to oil her joints very often and then you touch her in the right places your hand will get completely covered in black gunk made of lubricant, mud and dust. shes incredibly reliable, can run a hundred kilometers without maintenance, and if she breaks she can limp to any local bike store and buy a replacement part.

i imagine her sitting on a park bench, her leg detached and laying on her lap. she's quietly tightening the cable pulley connecting her heel to a servo. she looks around at the trees and smiles, hearing the birds sing. she takes her leg and sets it back into place with a large bolt, does a few stretches and runs off
