Thinking about how cyrus had given up his life of luxury and privilege to become a diviner. He had never wanted the crown, just the magic, peace and self control of the diviners. He endured the training and had gotten so close only to be cast out because of his father's deal with the devil. Because of fate. Now he's forced to be king and save his father through making a new deal himself. His dream is now crushed. He suffers everyday trying to fulfill the devil's demands just so he can help his family and avoid his soul being trapped. He's still on track but: Alizeh! They are in love but cannot be together-truly- since Alizeh believes that the devil wants them to carry out his plan. It makes Hazan's realization so much more heartbreaking. King Cyrus who takes care of his people, wears no jewelry (dresses simply as diviners do), pays his workers incredibly well, never goes to events/celebration- he maintains his reserved lifestyle. Alizeh is the only person who has seen through his disguise, the only person who has made him almost lose his self restraint. While Alizeh was recovering he covered his entire fucking kingdom in her favorite flowers.

I finally started reading the woven kingdom series and I loved alizeh and kamran in book 1, but OH MY GOD does cyrus break my heart in these infinite threads

I'm reading a book series that was promoted as enemies to lovers, it's not, the funny thing is that the real enemies to lovers it's the reader with the protagonist's best friend, I couldn't stand him for a while and now it's starting to grow on me, if he dies I might cry
