you may be wondering, what is the antihero au?

the ava/m antihero au is an animation vs minecraft/animator hero/villain au ask blog.

in this world, due to experiments during WW1 and WW2, most people have mutations in their dna that have led to them having superpowers — though most are relatively useless.

however, some people have begun using their powers for crime. these people are classified as supervillains.

to stop the supervillains, most countries have hero associations, a branch of the government dedicated to hiring and training superheroes to stop supervillains.

our story takes place in lesterton, a small city-island west of california.

Purple can we not with the ecofascism 😭

No one in inherently evil, there is no such thing as inherent morality. Most of the stuff you described (like global warming and pollution and bigotry) is perpetuated by the richest of the rich and by systemic oppression. No one is born wanting to pollute the earth for profit or to hate others, that's learned behavior. Random bystanders getting hurt won't change any of that, it just hurts people and leaves their families torn apart.

(ooc: I find Purple's position really interesting here btw, I'm guessing that they're parroting what their parents [those supervillains] told them. Cool stuff!)

PURPLE: The fact that you call it "eco-fascism" already tips me off to the fact that you're probably some upperclassman looking to wash yourself of responsibility by blaming the government for everything. That's not even what fascism *means*.

PURPLE: The government and bourgeosie are obviously culpable for the decay of our planet but to say other people don't have any part to play is willfully ignorant. Look outside, you'll see people throwing trash on the ground, pushing past each other, all selfishly focused on their own issues while they let the world rot and then say it's a hoax.

PURPLE: Global warming, pollution, extinction... None of that was nearly as bad, or even arguably a problem, before stickmen evolved. It's our greed that's ruining this planet.

PURPLE: When you look at the evidence, it's clear the world is better off without people.
