We are So BACK the songs are out!!!!
He’s so dramatic and awful can’t believe we’re Zodiac twins (well maybe a little)
JACK O'CONNELL as Remmick Sinners (2025) dir. Ryan Coogler
I love and hate him at the same time
Simply because I do
it really frustrates me to think about how people are inevitably going to take Remmick’s one (1) singular statement about how much he resents the way the Irish were colonized and forcibly converted to Christianity and use it as fuel for “actually he had a point” and “he was right actually” and “he’s not really the villain here” posts, when the whole point is that Remmick is, through the vampiric hive mind he’s creating, forcibly assimilating people into yet another manipulative and parasitical system. he doesn't value the cultures of the people he assimilates—notice how all the vampires he turns dance to his culture's music using his culture's dances, and how he only uses the languages or knowledge other vampires have to offer when he needs to manipulate someone. Remmick is extremely transparent about the way he sees the people he turns as resources to exploit.
he’s perpetuating a cycle that he claims to hate and resent, and I think the movie is pretty damn clear about the fact that he doesn’t see anybody as valuable or useful to him except as prey and as pawns—otherwise he would just, you know, focus solely on people who actually consent to being turned. but he looked sad in that one scene and he’s an apparently attractive white cis man so people are gonna bend over backwards justifying all the harm he did.
the women of Sinners
the women of Sinners
This fucking movie was so amazing I mean like I’m at a lost for words at how detailed and it was it fed the historian and horror fan in me 10 out of 10 I loved it best movie of the year
Sam Reid is Lestat. He jumps out of these books. Read Tarquin's description of Lestat's eyes in Blackwood Farm and his own description of himself in The Vampire Lestat.
They made them in the Anne Rice's lab!
The best Lestat portrayal both physically and in personality ,agreed .
The Blood Countess and Sekhmet: A Dance of Power and Destruction
🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀
Erzsébet Báthory from Castlevania: Nocturne is inspired by the real-life historical figure Countess Erzsébet Báthory, who was a Hungarian noblewoman accused of torturing and killing young girls in the late 16th and early 17th centuries. She is often referred to as the “Blood Countess” due to the gruesome legends surrounding her alleged crimes, which included bathing in the blood of virgins to preserve her youth one of the most infamous female serial killers in history, though much of the story surrounding her is shrouded in myth, exaggeration, ( as some one with a history degree I highly doubt it’s exaggerated or a myth they always downplay the complexity of a woman most scholars that probably believe that have their own biases and doctrine and any other influence mainly of the west that comes to play the only time they paint women bad in history is when they rebelling against what society wants to do with them rather than them actually being bad there’s no freaking way that any of this is exaggerated. Just saying if if Vladimir Dracul himself had his enemies heads on a pike then a woman could be just as insane and drink blood as well. Come on now. Like genuinely it’s bullshit. Women are painted as villains off all the time but when they’re actually doing something awful and it’s all legit now they’re not awful get real. and besides, let’s say she did those things and they mention them correctly that She’s just evil but when a man is a serial killer he’s complex he has issues. He has excuses. His mother doesn’t love him whatever)
ANYWaaY..
-The Complexity of Erzsébet Báthory-
Erzsébet is depicted as an individual who has faced immense personal trauma, yet she is driven by a desire for power, control, and immortality. Her deep internal struggle with these desires—her yearning for eternal beauty and her belief that she is entitled to such power—make her a more tragic and layered character. In the show, she is shown as a charismatic leader, manipulating those around her and using her position to get what she wants. Yet, there is also a vulnerability beneath her commanding exterior, hinting at a woman trapped by her own desires and fears.
Her connection to Sekhmet, an ancient and fierce Egyptian goddess, adds an additional layer of complexity. Sekhmet is a deity known for her destructive nature, but also for being a protector. This duality mirrors Erzsébet’s own nature—her destructive tendencies fueled by her ambition, but also her role as a protector of her own legacy and status.
Erzsébet’s complexity as a character and the way her motivations align with the destructive nature of Sekhmet makes her an excellent choice to wield the goddess’s power. Her internal struggles, coupled with her ruthless ambition, provide a rich foundation for the conflict she faces within Castlevania: Nocturne, making her not just a
villain but a deeply nuanced and tragic figure.
I could go on and on about her and Drolta but I would never shut the fuck up about but I will always love Castlevania and what Netflix had done with it not just for the animation not just for me, loving vampires and whore and all that but because they do a great job and are not afraid to show women as complex beings

Does anyone know why the creators choose to change alucards look?
I didn’t like it at first but it has grown on me
Anyway I speculate is serves as a representation as his inward change as well he’s defiantly older wiser and more mature (I’d hope so he’s 300 years old at this point) and I know for a fact Trevor will always be his favorite Belmont .
I love my Adrian ❤️🤗😩
Drolta’s Devotion to Sekhmet: A Goddess of Blood and Power in Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2
In Castlevania: Nocturne , Drolta as a fascinating character whose loyalty to the Egyptian goddess Sekhmet drives much of her actions. Sekhmet, the fierce lion-headed goddess of war, healing, and destruction, is more than a divine symbol in Drolta’s lifeshe represents the ideal of power, vengeance, and unrelenting hunger. Through her devotion to Sekhmet, Drolta becomes a vessel of mythological and thematic richness that deepens the series’ exploration of vampire lore, rebellion, and personal ambition.
I enjoyed her character and her plot twist of being the main villain all along and not Erzsebet I also liked her backstory on how she got to where she’s at in the current day in the show this was an amazing SznI fucking loves every minute of it and I’m currently watching the szn again for the second time she reminds me of the Bishop from szn 1 ambitious overly zealous devoted to their faith to the point where he’s justifying his wrong doings
Not to mention Drolta is hot!
YALL NEW SZN COMING IN JANUARY AHHHHHHHHH
Younger me wanted him so bad
lesdaughter you’ll always be real
