It is fine. You are lucky, one of the first I’ve allowed to refer to me as a shortened variant of my actual name.

Shachath is a very unique name, why shorten it? Nicknames are dreadful in my opinion. Though if you prefer it, I have no issue calling you Cath.

The fact that you were aware is relieving, even if only slightly. You are correct when you say that it is her choice if she assumes she is capable. But it is not at all a crime for the father of said unborn child to voice his concerns.
