The thing about Mulder and Scully is. Everyone shipped it. The fans shipped it. The writers and producers shipped it. The actors shipped it. Characters on the show, including Mulder and Scully themselves, shipped it. People who DIDN'T EVEN WATCH THE SHOW shipped it. Friends would see my XF posters and be like, "Hey did those two fuck yet?"

I started getting into The X-Files fandom at 18 years old, and back then I heard a lot of people go like "Gillian Anderson was only 24-25 when she was cast as Scully, she was such a little baby" and I personally felt like mid-twenties can't be THAT young. I thought people were exaggerating when they said that.

Yeah well I turned 26 a couple of months ago and I would like to formally apologize for doubting the older women in the fandom who were right AS ALWAYS. Gillian was a FETUS when she started as Scully. Mid-twenties is NOTHINGGG

People who drink coffee: why did you start?

I don't drink coffee and I've never wanted to, but that's obviously ~not normal~, so I'm curious why most people do start drinking it.

For me, it's because, as a child, I was incredibly cranky, and as soon as caffeine-free Coke was introduced, Mom had me start drinking that, and, hey, I got a lot less crabby, so that made me want to avoid caffeine. I also never really cared for the smell of coffee, either, so had absolutely no interest in drinking even decaf.

(and yes I am very aware that "it makes me feel better" and "love the way it smells" are top answers in why people do drink it XD)

#it was a combination of me being a tired student needing something to help me wake up in the morning #and also that it's a huge part of Finnish culture #you WILL be bullied by your whole family if you don't drink coffee #my brother doesn't drink coffee and he's always asked by our grandparents ''have you learned to drink coffee yet?''#so it's kinda the assumption that everyone eventually learns to drink it #like even I am mildly bullied for restricting coffee only to the mornings #my whole ''I only drink coffee before midday because I can't sleep otherwise'' thing is also thought of as a nonsense excuse LOL

#so back when I was new to having glasses... so around 19 years old #I always had a microfiber cloth with me and I cleaned my glasses like 10 times a day because my vision had to be PERFECT #now I've worn glasses for about 7 years and I wipe them off with my sleeve or the hem of my shirt like every other day #like you just gotta accept at some point that they're always gonna be filthy no matter what you do

If you no longer get your period for whatever reason (surgery, HRT, birth control, etc.) then either pick what you used to do or pick the last one

#pretty much nothing because I only have like... 3-5 sudden 10-second cramp attacks per period #usually between the first day and the third day #as a teenager my cramps were bad and I just ate painkillers like candy and cried in a fetal position
