Do cyclopses have depth perception?
A Controversial Opinion
Why I have a problem with Caitlyn Jenner.
It is not because she is transgender. Nor is it because the memebers of her family are known for being spoiled and out of touch with reality.
About two years ago, I was a sophomore in high school, enrolled in a journalism class. We researched the news and gave our own, often more “school appropriate” take on the news. Just before Caitlyn’s transformation, there was a small story covered about a highway accident she was involved in. She killed a woman while driving distractedly. She faced no jail time. She did not have mandatory community service. It has not been mentioned since.
Were it an ordinary person, someone without money and fame, they would have been prosecuted. The inequality between monetary classes has always been a factor of arrest. It’s sickening. Why should anyone be able to get away with taking a life? Caitlyn Jenner should not have walked away from that accident without repercussions. Nothing should excuse manslaughter, murder, or abuse—particularly money.
And that goes for everyone.
I’m Exhausted by “The Chosen One”
Why is it a majority of fantasy books have “The Chosen One” troupe? It’s so incredibly unlikely, even in worlds where dragons are commonplace and magic is the lifeblood of thousands. Having only one person who can stop the impending darkness kills suspension. Maybe the main character will die in the end (which they usually don’t), but until that point, they’re 100% going to overcome any and everything that comes their way.
I want more uncertainty. I want consequences for failure. I want desperation. I want readers to worry.
Asking for a Friend
Can you get herpes from a corpse? I'd look it up on Google but I really don't want to see pictures.
Explain this to Me
My brother informed me the other day that God sees all sins as equal. Wether you kill a man or disrespect your parents, it's a terrible offense, there is no difference in his eyes. So why are there Christians protesting gay pride parades and not standing outside jails demanding inmates repent?
I’d really like to meet the person who said, gymnastics is cool… but what if we made someone do it on the back of a moving horse?
Thanos the Space Dad
It recently occurred to a friend of mine that Thanos would have raised The Black Order. And we know he’s a ruthless guy, Gamora and Nebula are proof of that, but what about when they were super young? Did he have to run to the Galaxy Mart for Star Puffs cereal? Did he threaten to turn the ship around because Corvus and Dwarf weren’t sharing captured prisoners of war? Did he have to give his kids the sex talk? We know that Corvus and Proxima are married, did Thanos plan the wedding? Did he officiate the ceremony? Did the kids hide the Infinity Stones as a joke when he want looking? I need domestic Dad Thanos headcanons in my life.
