"I assume you've come with a large triple espresso shaken with a hint of brown sugar and cream. Otherwise I need you to leave my office until one is in my hand." Speaking as he doesn't look up from whatever monitor he chose to read over during his break between meetings.
Pepper's schedule was a working schedule though he can't complain more than he already did. Now whining is something he will do more of later but complaining wouldn't get him anywhere. It wasn't like he would do this himself and if he didn't get this work done then where would they be? He would be in the garage or workshop and the company would fall into ruin. So he goes along with meeting after meeting after phone call. At least until he gets the text.
[Text] New Italian place? Might be crowded but we can try it.
As soon as the address is sent over he contacts whoever he needs to to make this happen. When Pepper decided to pop by between his meetings, he would glance up from his work. The work wasn't work, it was dinner reservations with making sure they can provide a nice wine or have one brought in from outside for their meal. Smiling as he looks up to meet her gaze. "Seven should work so long as I can manage to get through all of this paperwork I have been burdened with." The paper work was done, had been done. "What color are you wearing out? Need to make sure the car color is complimentary to us both."
☀️-- Blue eyes were characteristically hard. A hand was held out, a small lead box held there. Many alien species had discovered the impressive power that Kryptonite could generate. He wasn't sure how any of it had ended up in this man's hands, but...
The sickly green glow reflected against his eyes, Clark keeping his distance. He had shown up in full cape and suit the moment he'd heard about the matter.
"Mr. Stark, I'm afraid I'm going to need that."

Tony didn't think much of who might come for the stone he managed to get his hands on. Aside from Rogers who would complain to him but it wasn't a problem he had to deal with right now. But Superman? That was very unexpected. He knew the rumors but he never gave much to what this rock could do to the overly powered hero. Not until he sees it for himself. "I'm afraid it's not yours to have." His eyes on the box. Looking over the stone before grabbing some tongs he used for other experiments. Finding a sealed container to place it in. Setting it down carefully. "I paid a pretty penny for this. Therefore it is mine to keep unless you can buy it off me for the same price. Then again, I could always buy more." A soft bluff. Getting this one sample was difficult.

"Red." Tony looks over to his teammate. Well right now they were teammates. Apparently they were tasked to do some sort of investigating of some sort. Tony tasked with the get away and some support here and there but nothing out in the open. That would blow the entire cover and while he knows that he still whines a bit.rle grumbling complaining but everyone knows he is whining.
"Why do I need to be here? Why couldn't Legolas do this? Aren't you two attached at the hip?" They made a better spy duo. This wasn't his speed. He was more in the middle of the action, flashy, eager to do things that would blow cover if there was cover to be had. His attire is even toned down for this, per mission specifications. A hoodie, sunglasses, hat. Looks like some older man trying to relive his college days. "It's not like you can't get away. I've seen you vanish into thin air after an hour at a party."
Natasha acknowledges the man at her side with a glance in his direction, but quickly refocuses on the task at hand. She’s crouched down digging through a drawer of files, looking for anything she can find that has ties to SHIELD.
“You’re here because Fury evidently thought your spy skills could use some work. And Barton is out for the next two weeks with bruised ribs from his last mission.” She looks over at him, features hidden in the dim light of the empty office space. “This place isn’t completely empty. Keep your eyes open.” She returns to her work. “Fury asked specifically for me. That means this isn’t just an in and out mission. I hope you brought a weapon in case things get messy.”
"A training session? That sounds a great use of our time. When am I going to be out in the field doing spy work?" He groans out the words. Not pleased in the slightest but it wasn't like he could up and leave right now. They were stuck. Natasha had to find something, what that was he was sure he was told but didn't listen. He looks out from their hiding spot. Isn't sure what he should look for other than someone shooting. "A weapon? My armor is my weapon, I don't exactly own guns or a bow and arrow set like bird boy." He would scoff a little. Of course he could have a suit there at any point but that felt like it defeated the purpose. If they were suppose to be hiding, a big red suit of flying armor would attract more attention.
The introductions are done and while Tony could sit and chatter with Bruce for hours, he had to do his own mingling for Logan's benefit. And Bruce wouldn't get scared off by Logan easily. Tony doesn't go far either way. Sticking close by to monitor Logan. Making sure he has an out should he need it. All while Tony finds others to talk with, plead the case of the mutants who need help, so on. Seems most are either interested or already aware of those in need which he appreciated. It was less to explain.
Tony has another drink, then another and another. Probably a bit too much really but the constant talking was a lot. He didn't mind the subject but it was the constant and back to back. Eventually he wonders back to Logan's side. "Bruce here treating you good, carebear?" Patting the man on the shoulder. Using him a bit to lean on as he isn't completely drunk but a bit unsteady.
Logan had a pretty good time talking with Bruce and they had made their way over to the Richards together to have a group conversation. Talking about his various mutations before the adamantium experiments and the changes it caused in him. He learned a bit about them as well, what they have gone through and the research they did. It was interesting to learn about and though he wasn't any expert in anything other than fighting he found himself able to provide some meaningful insights.
Throughout the time he'd glance over to Tony in case he needed him. Logan would talk with others, that would approach him and staying with Bruce managed to get through the smalltalk and uncomfortable conversations. All thanks to more drinks being provided. The older mutant was starting to feel a buzz but it was just a light one. He'd have to drink ten hours straight to get proper drunk.
When Tony rejoined them him and Bruce had moved to the edge of the crowd where it was more quiet. He looked over at the and on his shoulder for support and without thinking too much of it reached his arm behind Tony's back to rest on his side. Just to pull him close to make sure to keep him steady. "Carebear?" Logan arched a brow and with a glance to Bruce was informed that Tony gave everyone nicknames. "Uh-hu, one of those ironic nicknames? You're funny." He says flatly and gave Tony a nod. "Yeah, we've been having a good time. Not as good of time you're having, you're rather unsteady there."
Tony didn't mean to get completely drunk but when Thor showed up with some of the mead he was told to not drink, he drank some. More than some. Bruce usually stopped him but was otherwise occupied so really, he would blame Bruce and Thor later. For now he felt great. Any aches and pains he dealt with were gone. And Logan was there so he should be a good host. That was the thought process at least.
Once against the firm man, he would lean his weight on him. It felt good to let loose. Work was killing him and this was needed. Either this or a proper party. A hum leave him as Logan talks. He is sort of listening. "Thor came with the good stuff." He murmurs softly to earn a sigh from Bruce. Clearly this was a problem. When Bruce tries to speak up, Tony shushes him. "I'm fine. I had. One drink. Plus. It's fine. I don't have to drive. Jarvis can. Or Logan." Seeming to think the man would want to given he wanted to drive the car anyways. "Right big guy?" Before he gets a confirmation he is pulling the keys out and handing them over.

Tony watches her as she checks her phone then finally meets her gaze. His smile warming up just a little. Briefly looking away as if to check his nails before he shakes his head. "I don't think I need to get them freshened up. They seem pretty fine for the moment." He kept his nails clean and well trimmed. Someone else doing it for him felt wrong. They wouldn't do it the right way. "After that, maybe we should grab dinner. Your pick on my dime of course." The hand finds its way back to his coffee that he lifts to sip from again.
When Pepper heard his invitation to dinner, she couldn’t help but smile a little, not wanting to look too eager or excited. “Dinner, on your dime? How could I say no to that?” She teased gently. Glancing at her watch, she took note that their first meeting started soon. “I’ll think of a place and let you know later.”
A soft, breathy laugh leaves him at her teasing. Maybe he could squeeze in a bit more work before she found a spot for their dinner after her own plans. "You have my number. I'll be eagerly waiting, Pep." Letting her go about her day as she planned and absolutely not awaiting the text like waiting for a crush to text him back.

Sliding the coffee across his desk, Pepper tried to get his attention. “Since when did you start adding brown sugar and cream to your espresso?”
His eyes move from his work only briefly. Not that he needed confirmation of who it was. But still, it was nice to look over at her. "Happy got it once. I accidentally drank it and I have to say, it isn't bad. Not an every day one but considering the amount of meetings today I thought it was a nice change from the usual." Moving from his reading to grab the coffee. Taking a small sip before a contented sigh leaves him. "Why do I have so many anyways? Is this your plan to torment me? What have I done to wrong you so?"
“I see,” Pepper said as she checked the calendar for Mr. Stark’s current schedule. While there were a lot of meetings, Pepper made sure none of the meetings would be over forty-five minutes a piece and that he would still be done before three. Chuckling, she shook her head. “This isn’t meant to torment you,” she explained. “There’s just a lot going on that we have to get through currently. Which unfortunately means a lot of meetings, but fortunately for you, I’ve scheduled your day to be over by three and you’ll be on your way to whatever you have planned tonight.”
Tony sighed rather dramatically as Pepper explained. Looking back to his monitor as she continues. Not pleased with all the work to be done even if it is done by three. Though what did he have planned for the rest of the day? He pulls his calendar up to swipe through the meetings then checking what is after all the work. "Looks like I'm free after three." Swiping the screen away as he leans forward a little. Arm propped up with the coffee in hand. "And what are your plans after three? Anything exciting? Maybe something I can crash in on?" Offering her one of his less practiced smiles.
The thought his intelligence might be a mutation was one that never truly crossed his mind before. He would think a moment. As if considering the implication. Then shakes his head. "Never been tested for that." Spoken with a slight chuckle as if he finds the whole thing amusing. When told Logan wished to meet Bruce, he would smile a bit more. "My favorite person. Good choice."
Moving through the crowd easy enough. A few people try to stop him but Tony says he'll make it back around. Smiles all charming. His voice firm but gentle. He could command this room if he wished to. "Brucie!" He calls to his fellow scientist and Avenger. The two men have a brief moment before Tony introduces Logan. "I think you met our new friend in passing. This is Logan." Letting Bruce take the conversation, awkward and a bit of talking over himself but Bruce had come some way from when Tony first met him. Though Tony does lean into Bruce. "Keep an eye on....you know who. She looks extra on edge. We don't need an incident with our new friend here." While he was certain Logan heard him, he wasn't going to acknowledge it.
Logan followed through the crowd behind Tony to make their way over to Bruce. He stayed a step back while Tony had his own personal words with the other Avenger. Only when the introduction was given did he step up to offer his hand to him for a handshake. "Good to meet you Mr. Banner." He said with as nice of a smile he could manage. "You look like you want to be here about as much as I do." Logan commented to cut the tension. He'd let the other carry on the conversation however Bruce wanted, and would let him ask any questions about himself. They would find some mutual understanding as they were both people seen as potential dangers that needed to be under supervision.
He'd keep his main attention on Bruce and Tony for now but he was also listening to those around him. It was a bit muddled but he could tell when he heard people talking about him.
