I have a serious question for all europeans: what is y’all’s beef with air-conditioning? Why not have it? -sincerely, a very confused (but nice and cool) American.
😊 I made an Andeil artwork for Pride Month 🏳️🌈 Please like and repost so more people can see it! And yes — commissions are open 💫

jean and neil having this conversation
Love on the Court (love islandd but AFTG)
Before they come back from Casa Jeremy and Neil pulled Kevin aside and tell him that it’s not a good idea to bring back Aaron into the Villa bc of Aaron and Andrew having family issues. Kevin agrees not to bring back Aaron.
When they come back from casa.
Neil and Andrew Recouple together and all is well they are the first ones shown in the recouping and everybody knew it was gonna be them.
Jeremy comes back from Casa single as well following up Neil as the second single guy and he gives a beautiful speech about only wanted Jean and Always thinks of the blue in jeans eyes
Allsion comes back next with Thea on her arm and Andrew is upset for Renée. Renee chose to be single and was waiting while Allison was coupled up. Renee doesn’t say much but sits back down and Jean and Andrew boo allsion for her behavior. Andre and Jean are also looking at their couples wondering why Neil or Jeremy didn’t stop Allison.
Matt comes back single. Dan and him back up couple up Dan does not tell Matt she kissed Renee while he was at Casa. (Movie night gona be hell)
Kevin comes back from Casa with Aaron on his arm and chaos returns with Andrew getting up and walking away from the fire pit. He doesn’t even wait for Kev and Aaron to get all the way to the standing point he sees Aaron and Kevin and he is out of there fuck production and fuck everyone
Jeremy and Neil are shocked cuz this is Kevin doing the exact opposite of what he said he was gonna do. Kevin stands with Aaron while everyone sort of looks around at each other wondering what the fuck happened.
Jean is hurt becuase while he and Jeremy are in a strong couple he thought Kevin and Him and Jeremy could have had something together. Aaron is standing with Kevin. It’s a mess. Andrew refused to sleep in the same room as Kevin and Aaron.
Maybe I'm just too deep in, but I don't think All For The Game is as insane or poorly written as people claim it is. I mostly think this in terms of the common reasons people have for calling it a problematic series. I personally have exactly two critiques of All For The Game where I found the actions/issues of a character to be genuinely problematically represented in the books:
1) every time Wymack says the R slur. I don't think he had to say that, I find it offensive, and there was exactly 0 pushback for it. 0 commentary on it at all in the text
2) the casualness with which Kevin's alcoholism is often treated by the foxes. this one is a little more nuanced to me but I still think that it wasn't handled appropriately, at least not to my standards
everything else that gets cited as a "problematic" facet of aftg almost always, in my opinion, has a reason behind it and is usually being mischaracterised in critiques. I am including Andrews psych meds and mania, the thanksgiving scene, nicky's creepy jokes in TFC, and a ton of random shit the foxes do at different points in the series. I can go on a rant about that another time if people want but for now all I have to say is FREE MY BOOK SERIES ITS NOT THAT WEIRD
Love Island a mini part
Jeremy cries in the confessional during Casa cuz he relized how much he truly misses Jean and he worries that Jean is gonna find better with the other people in the Villa. He however pulls Kevin for a chat and they talk about the Casa people which is interrupted by Fasor pulling Jeremy for a chat where they talk. Only makes Jeremy want to go to see Jean more
Kevin doesn’t tell Aaron that he and Andrew were in a couple in the beginning before Neil came in as a bombshell and stole Andrew
Kevin and Aaron make out in the Photo Booth. Kevin goes into the confessional talking about how he likes his connection with Jean and Jeremy. He says ‘I like Jean and Jeremy. Like they both in the back of my mind when I kiss Aaron.’ (Movie night gonna be hell for Kevin) he also says ‘out of all the people I’ve kissed here tho, Andrew was the best.’ He’s so messy
Jean is the villa darling and everyone loves him.
Dan kisses Renée while Allison and Matt are in casa and they hide it and decide never to do it again.
Andrew smokes and Jean criticizes him for it.
Movie night gonna be hell for the islanders.

My favorite thing about our good friend Kevin Day is that he has earned every right to be a bitch. Like his ego is through the roof because he’s the best of the best. He won the championships when he played with the Ravens. Then Riko broke his hand, he transferred to Palmetto (the smallest and most dysfunctional collegiate team) and the second he actually started playing again, the foxes won the fucking championship. Like yeah if I pulled that off my ego would be the size of the fucking moon too.
Also his mom literally created the sport so…
kevin day might genuinely be the funniest character ever because hes like ✨️🥰 ooh let me send jean to live with jeremy who i know he has had a massive crush on for years 🥰✨️ and then proceeds to act shocked when he visits them and sees they are already both down bad for eo
he came, he slayed, he clocked, he left
i still laugh every time i remember jerejean wasn't a thing at all for nora and one day after years gone she just came back and went "you know what? fuck it let's do it" and then proceed to write three fucking books canonizing a ship that she didn’t even come up with. what the hell
Being in the BlueLock fandom prepared me to well for Kevin Day antis. The shit Kevin Day haters be saying about Kevin is some shit Rin fans say about him on the daily. Anyway Rin icantdoshi come to the front. Sae changing his last name after you did your big one like that. Rip I now ship Rin and the mf bench lmbsf
Triggers for cults, men in power, brainwashing and like all the triggers for AFTG Becuase they are heavily referenced.
The Ravens aren’t just a team it’s a cult, and the Nest is a cult compound. Tetsuji Moriyama doesn’t coach teenagers, he recruits children and breaks them down until they can’t imagine a life outside the Ravens.
Tetsuji’s methods are straight out of a cult handbook isolation from family, sleep deprivation, relentless pressure, and physical punishment. Every part of a Raven’s life is controlled. Cut off from basic kindness and dignity, the only way they learn to feel worth anything is by performing. This ties the image of who they are to exy and exy alone. So many ravens kill themselves after they lose Becuase the one thing that was holding their self worth together crumbled before them. Thea says it best: “A raven who cannot play is no raven.” And if you’re not a raven, you’re dead. That’s the core of Tetsuji’s manipulation if you do not perform, you will die. Playing Exy is not longer ambition, it’s survival. For most of them. (Kev is built different.)
His long‑term goal is honestly hard for me to understand. I think it was less about long term goals and I think Tesuiji more enjoyed having power over these children. Jean once describe the Ravens as an ‘anger violent mass.’ (If anyone has any thoughts on what Tesuiji might have been wanting truly tell me)
Tetsuji has a hierarchy inside a hierarchy Riko (or Kevin) create the perfect Court, a king and its lap dog with a select inner circle. This is culty 101. These are the chosen ones who get extra lessons, trips, privileges, and, most importantly, promises, the master’s favor, money, and a guaranteed spot on the US Court. With only so many positions available, everyone else is forced to tear each other apart for a chance to move up. The violence we see between Ravens isn’t random it’s the logical outcome of a system where your only safety is SUPPOSEDLY being number one.” This I find to be the a very interesting part of The Prefect Court, their privileges are an illusion, Jean has it arguably the worst in the nest than any one else. Yet he has assumed privileges based on your place in the hierarchy. A place that is made up by Riko. (I think that Kevin truely believes in Prefect Court, and I think he also figures out Tesuiji is using it against them to fuel Raven violence. I think watching Tesuiji is how Kevin truly learns to be manipulative. Kevin watches and learns from 9 fucking years old he’s in this system. It’s horrendous to imagine a 9 year old here. And he’s still there mentally even 2ish years outside the nest.)
King is a lie Riko tells himself, in the hierarchy established he is at best, one step above the ravens because of his name alone. He not above coach’s, he is not above nurses, he is certainly not above or even close to being equal toTesuiji. That is no true King. Riko’s Prefect Court is nothing but a mechanism for Tesuiji to use to manipulate Ravens. Riko on some level has to understand this and thus it contributes to his violence. He is a raging Narcissist and psychopath his cruelty is simply just cruelty for cruelty sake. No manipulative undertones when he literally scraped think layers of skin off Jean back. he just did that for the love of the game.
A huge part of how this works is the Ravens’ fanbase. The Nest keeps players zero‑contact with their families, but not with the outside world. They have phones. They see the monstrous, aggressive, almost rabid fanbase that worships them and defends Tetsuji and Riko to the death. They also see what happens when anyone speaks badly about their “master” or their “king.” From a Raven’s perspective, that’s normal, even justified. Of course their fans would act like that the Ravens are the best and if they were prefect court they would have the ‘privileges’ Kevin and Riko do. (Reminding that Jean and Kevin hid most of Riko cruelty from the ravens so they ravens don’t know that it is actually a cruse to be prefect court.)
So why doesn’t any Raven, past or present, speak out against this horrific system?
Because starving, socially inept, brainwashed children do not make good revolutionaries. They go into the Nest as teenagers and come out with the minds of cult members, chronic pain, severe mental illness, and a loyalty they can’t untangle from fear. “To speak is to die” isn’t just a rule it’s carved into them, just as much as Kevin’s tattooo. Even after they leave, they’re still members. They still hear the master’s voice in their heads “You will play.” And they know the fanbase would burn their lives down if they ever turned on the Ravens ( Just ask Jean.) This to me is especially sinister part of it, they do not ever seem to escape this mind set.
They are just are branded, not physical but mentally.
Everything is set up perfectly for Tetsuji a cult, a king, a future Court, and players too broken to ever betray him. And why would they want to? He’s their master
But then it’s all starts crumbling underneath the master when Kevin runs away.
There will be a part two to this if I ever get around to it. But basically Kevin is that guy. He’s the revolutionary that changes everything. Part two will focus on Keys to holding power in a system and why Tesuiji failed to maintain control.
Now to this is not me saying that Riko, Greyson, or any ravens are ok in any of there actions. They are not, Riko is complicit in rape (ans Zane) and Greyson (and any other backliner who touched Jean on Riki’s order.) nothing here makes that any less horrific. They are also victims of The Raven Cult system.
More love island with the foxes. Casa Amor
Kevin goes to Casa amor and meets Aaron and yeahhhh Aaron smart mouth and the Minyard looks they have the freakiest make out session on camera. I’m talking Kevin is picking him up and they are freaked out.
Jeremy goes to Casa and doesn’t really put his heart into exploring and he kind of just moves around and talks about how much he misses Jean. He does briefly explore a connection with but his heart isn’t in it and he tells the connection that he really just wants Jean.
Alison goes to Casa and definitely has conversation conversations and brings someone back; Renee is not happy about it. Plot twist the girl that Allason brings back is Thea.
Neil goes to Casa and meets Aaron and he hate Aaron because he thinks the producers put him in Casa away from Andrew to see if Neil would explore Aaron but Neil is disgusted by the idea. He refuses to take part in any Casa challenges and sleeps in a different bed.
Meanwhile back in the villa Jean and Andrew began to have conversation to have chats but it’s not chats for like connection wise. They just miss there partners.
Jean and Andrew eventually come to the mutual decision to not explore the new people entering the villa and just wait on their partner partners. But the producers cut that part out and they make it seem like Andrew and Jean are exploring each other. For drama.
