I am SO excited to be a part of Contemporary Art Month at the Equinox Gallery in San Antonio, Texas!
I will be giving a lecture/presentation on my work on March 22nd at 8pm.

Hello Again!
I've been in hibernation for awhile. I graduated with my MFA. I started a new job working in a foundry. I moved into a mill space where I can have a studio. Real life things are happening. Stay tuned while I set up the studio and start making new work.
Exciting news, in November I will be teaching a workshop on repousse at the Fuller Craft Museum! Check out the link. I am honored to be able to continue my work as a teaching in some small capacity.

Copper, the 29th element, is prized for its excellent malleability, conductivity, and ductility. Celebrating Arizona’s Centennial as well as its status as is the leading copper-producing state in the U.S, this juried exhibition features contemporary artwork that is made primarily of copper. The juror for this exhibition was David Huang, a renowned metalsmith known for his raised copper vessels. This exhibition was produced in conjunction with the annual conference of the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG).

UMass Dartmouth
Went to UMass Dartmouth’s Alloy Symposium over the weekend. It was fantastic! There were some amazing artists lecturing, wonderful demos to experience, and we were all surrounded by our fellow metalheads.
I was interviewed by the Herald News this weekend at my MFA thesis exhibition opening. More details on the opening coming soon...

Enveloped is coming right along, slowly but surly despite being exhausted physically by making it.
I decided to etch finger prints and contour lines into this piece before chasing it. I used a soft ground asphaltum (the black tar stuff) as a resist and spent several days scoring out the lines on the hands before giving the whole big thing a ferric chloride bath!
After several rounds of burning off the asphaltum, I uncovered a successful etch. Now it's time to hammer again!
