girls were…strange. cute in most ways but in every other strange. solving his ‘problem’ with a pair of reindeer antlers had to be some sort of talent as he would have rather thrown a fist. maverick rolled his eyes, leaning back against the couch with an arm stretched out along the back. “don’t go blaming me if you can’t handle it, ave. i’m sure you’re the one that conjured it in the first place…anything i have is normal.” a haughty scoff left him though he nodded his head to the space beside him, subtly asking her to sit with him. “tell me why i thought inviting the whole school was a good idea again?”
taking the seat next to him, avery leaned back, eyes scanning the room for a familiar face----she’d lost delilah somewhere in the crowd. “conjured food and drink isn’t quite as good as authentic, you know.” she twirled the straw that she had conjured around her glass, fingers dancing across the rim, “maybe you can make me a new one, speedy. and you probably overestimated the number of, you know, cool and well-adjusted peers at our fine institution. or maybe you just wanted entertainment?”
