Finally have something to share for WIP Wednesday! Thank you @theglitteringtrio for the tag :P. Nice way to get the map I have been saddled with off my brain (if i look at one more lake I am gonna scream)

Art wise I am working on a series of pics of all the Daggers + maybe the 86 squad in how I think they would dress casually & their styles out of uniform

Writing wise Chapter 7 of the forza fic is still in progress! But I am working on expanding my Jake hikes hc into a fully fledged 5+1 :P. Its very bare bones and I love to write shit out at 3 in the morning so its very much in prog. But here is a snippet!!:

Their celebrations at the hard deck are plagued with a sexual tension so charged that even Fanboy, who is notoriously dense, has come up to ask her about it. The daggers try and give them a wide berth, but each time they meet, Hangman’s jeans get tighter and tighter, to the point where she thinks Bradley might break glass with how he white knuckles the beers Penny hands him as soon as he even glances in the blond’s direction. He chugs them with the enthusiasm of a 18 year old at a party instead of the 33 year old he is until he’s up sitting on the bench of the out of tune piano in the corner of the bar belting out song after song. She lets it go on usually, hoping that Hangman will finally end her misery, but it always end with Phoenix calling them both an Uber while they lean into eachother outside, Bradley talking her ear off about Hangman’s ass. She shudders at the thought.

Now again as Bradley sits on her couch, legs draped over her own while she searches for hikes that they haven’t done in the San Diego Area, Bob propped on the arm chair next to them vetoing her suggestions because “they’ve done that one already”, she thinks about how this is now too much of an established years long routine to convince herself it’s working. She thinks maybe if she would’ve invited Jake on their first one out in Corpus Christi long ago, her suffering would be over by now.

The audible force of his awe just barely reaches him, tangling with the song still rolling through his ear. “Pretty.” Jake breathes hard as he watches Bradley’s profile, the sun glinting off the sharp plane of his nose. He’s edged in gold all around; his neck gleams with sweat, and he has a few little freckles there that Jake can’t remember noticing before now. Lips parted around an exhale, Bradley swivels to give Jake his back as he watches some pelicans go by, or listens to a family shrieking in joy on the sand below. Jake blinks, still breathing heavy. “Yeah,” he agrees, as if murmuring from a dream.

The A is late again. The unfortunate reality of working late and missing his usual train is setting in as he kicks a crumpled receipt in the empty subway terminal on Fulton Street. Jake doesn’t mind waiting, hell, ever since he moved to New York all those years ago, all he’s done is go, with no regard for a break or a breather. But internally, he mourns the loss of his evening eye candy.
