it’s like midnight and i was looking at ivan till actor au and i had a probably not very groundbreaking but cool fanfic idea/concept i wanted to write down somewhere!
imagine it’s a actor au or it’s just a story about two people in theatre. they meet at auditions, and see each other try out, and it’s a instant connection. they cheer after one of them sings their audition song, and vice versa. they keep growing closer over these 3 auditions, gossiping about the soon to be cast, and who will be cut.
a week later, the cast list comes out. one of them gets the role they wanted, becoming the lead of the show, but the problem is, the other wanted that role incredibly bad. they practiced day and night, memorized all their lines from a script book before even being cast, and put blood sweat and tears into acting just to get that role that they’ve wanted for years. and the worst part is, they get cast as the villain, who used to be very close friends to the lead.
the theatre director and the entire school had never really liked v, as she had a horrible track record, being bullied, having terrible grades, leaving the theatre director to become biased, thinking that the villain role would be perfect for such a unsatisfactory being. after this casting, the two are still friends, but v (the one casted as the villain) is more distant, and their connection seems to become one sided. h is slowly falling in love, while the feeling of love at first sight had immediately faded for v.
they feel terrible about being that jealous, but they can’t help it, their insecurities and anxiety taking over. they’ve also become more irritable whenever the two would speak, always speaking in a passive aggressive tone and never actually caring for h, and h doesn’t know what they had done to make the relationship go south. soon enough, they get a new scene to practice.
it’s where both the villain and the heroine have a confrontation, where the villain is questioning why the heroine got to have everything in life, fame, popularity, talent, and how they were left with nothing. they were seen as malicious and a “bad kid”, and when people said their name, they would be left with a bad taste in their mouth. they act out the scene, with h keeping it professional, going along with their lines as usual, but v took all the dialogue too close to home. they pour their heart out practicing, hoping that h would get the hint of why they were so mad at them, without having to have direct communication ( a terrible thing to do).
the show night comes by, and when h wishes v good luck on the show, leaning in for a hug, v pushes her off, a disgusted look on their face. this leads h to be troubled the entire opening night, just not acting the same, their mind in the clouds, thinking, hoping, that they would get an answer on what they could have ever done wrong. v sees this, and had a twisted feeling of happiness, happy that h did bad, getting a sense of satisfaction thinking that h could never have the same talent as their self, and that they truly deserved that role.
i don’t know where the story would progress from here but if anyone wants to use this idea for a fanfic or story, please use it! change up a few things, because my strong suit isn’t writing, but if anyone likes it, tag me and leave me a credit!!
