Silent Princesses are very similar to lilies…. Not just physically when it comes to some of its references in the game.

Sorelia and her husband Tye trying to find the flower to swear their eternal love and devotion to one another over the freshly plucked petals. Just as the real life lily is associated with devotion, purity and fertility. It also is associated with love and is tied to the ideas of fresh new life and rebirth.

Both of which are strongly reflected in both Link and Zelda’s stories. They both are able to start a fresh life without anyone knowing who they really are nor putting any expectations onto their roles as the chosen. And they’re both reborn into a world that doesn’t know who they are and so they can finally define it themselves without any limitations or social expectations.

And I think that’s so neat.
