My name is Naveen. I am a disabled 28 year old, gender-fluid person. I live with my husband, a transmale named Cam, and our four pets - three cats and one service dog. Recently I learned that I am approved for disability benefits due to a few mental illnesses and a chronic pain disorder, but unfortunately they will be applied in September, leaving my family and I without the funds to pay our rent for August (next month). Although the rent at our place is affordable for our area, the late fees are not - they are $50 a day after the due date, which is on August 5th. We already have a stock up on pet food and litter, as taking care of our pets is our first priority (they are our children, after all). The rest of our bills are also currently covered, so any funds you do help us with will only go toward our rent for August, after which we will be able to sustain ourselves finacially.
