So, I did an “Ad” about Digital Revenge (Revenge Porn) and I think it’s appropriated to upload today. With all this naked pics leaked, people are starting to go back to that place When They don’t think right about the consequences and become accomplice.
Sharing this stuff and point your finger to the victims (yes, no matter how you enjoy the nacked pics, they are victims) are harmful. This fucking hacker is a criminal. And instead of saying that they should not have taken the pictures (since it’s their rights to take, it’s private and it’s their lifes), people must remenber that who leaked should - have to - be identified and go to jail. It disguste me some of the jokes and arguments that an amount of people made on twitter. I guess they forget that part of the story.
I remenber present this “Ad”, in a class of Art Direction, justifying saying you can not control your ex-boyfriend or whoever spread intimate photos or videos. They must be judged and get to the strict punishment, since this type of crime is like a psychological aggression, in which expose something so intimate against your will, image being you in that pics, have empathy, or if you can image that, image a lot of people knowing one of the most personal thing about you, have simpathy. What can really help is how people react. There will always be jokes about it and shame when this happens, but the awareness of the consequences can make a difference. And most of all, the support from known and unknown people.
And I not even just saying this about famous people. It’s not about famous people. Look what happened to Amanda Todd, just a few years ago. Remember/Emphasize the conseguences can help in a way that we (who never suffer this) have no idea. The support, coming from other people, family or whoever, helps. And not judging or pointing your finger at the victim.
I just wish everyone’d be aware of this. And watch out the jokes, who you’re blaming and who you sharing. Because that’s a crime.
