But also I've only semi understood monster biology within canon

Like monsters don't have blood and they don't consume physical food, right? All food is pure magic you eat it and its converted into pure energy, this likewise implies several monsters don't have internal organs the same way we do

This is why Chara getting sick was a big deal they were human and literally built different, monsters didnt know how to treat them

But also

The only reason Chara got sick is because they were deliberately poisoning themselves and they only got the idea because they accidentally fed Asgore literal butterscotch flowers which are super poisonous

But that implies Asgore had a digestive system to begin with and can consume physical matter but how does that work if he doesn't have blood

I think that they can consume normal food. It's just would be floating around, inside of their magical body, slowly transforming into energy.

Tho, it's not really efficient and also can lead to sickness, if consumed substance was poisonous or rotten.

Hence monsters prefer magic food.

And humans can easily consume magic monster food, but it's not really substantial. You'd be energetic and healthy, but gnawing feeling of an empty stomach and lack of normal human food taste will haunt you constantly.

Or something like that 🤔

I do not joke when I say smiling Tear CURES MY SOUL. It hits me so differently, makes me smile in return and the drawing itself is so upbeat. It's unfair that they have that effect. That smile really stretches /pos. SCREAMING over the adorable expression. Your traditional works still never fail to amaze me. They are wayyyyyy to fun and have no right to be such a way.
