On the recent air strikes in Iraq by the US:
The United states carried out three air strikes in Iraq, killing over 45 people, including the beloved General Qassem Soleimani of Iran. The Iraqi and Iranian people have been protesting against these strikes, and the Iraqi people took over the American embassy in Iraq, demanding an end to American occupation. This is very reminiscing of when Iranian students took over the US embassy in Iran during the 1979 revolution, proclaiming the US CIA is a den of espionage.
Donald Trump has said he wants to maintain the occupation of Iraq so the US can use it to spy on Iran. The same goes for Afghanistan. So long as the civil war continues, the US can use it as an excuse to justify their presence in Afghanistan in the event of war with Iran.
Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Sistani from Iraq, the highest ranking Shia cleric has condemned the air strikes. He is a greatly respected by both the Shia and Sunni in Iraq, and the fatwas he issued greatly helped unite the Sunni and Shia of Iraq than Saddam Hussein sought to divide, and together they were able to unite and rid the country of ISIS. I’m glad he has spoken against these air strikes, and I hope the Iraqi people can now unite to rid the country of US occupation. This will greatly contribute to regional stablility.
Lenin said imperialism is the highest from of modern/late capitalism. In order to sustain capitalism, raw materials must be stolen from other regions and countries. If you have been paying attention, you’ll have noticed there’s a shift in global power dynamics. Countries that have been terrorized by the US are joining together to resist the west.
Weakening US hegemony will bring peace and stability to the rest of the world. This is a process called decentralization, and it has let to the collapse of many empires throughout history. The desperation and failure of US foreign policy mirrors the fall of the American empire, which we are witnessing today.
Climate change will also contribute to the fall of the American empire. It also led to the collapse of the Akkadian empire. Essentially, the Akkadian empire became to large to sustain. Water from the north of the empire was diverted to sustain the south, and when the waters of the north dried, the empire collapsed.
Every other country in the world uses gold to back its currency since gold has a universal value. No matter what happens, gold will always be worth a certain amount. Without gold, currency has no value. During the invasion of Iraq, the US stole the entirety of Saddam’s gold, greatly contributing to the collapse of the Iraqi economy in the same way that over 30 years of sanctions have destroyed the Iranian economy.
The US, however, switched from gold to petroleum to back its currency. Oil is what backs the US dollar, ie. petro-dollar. I hope that realizing this will help people to understand why these oil wars are central to sustaining the political-economic system of the US. No more oil means an end to US hegemony and the fall of the American empire.
The US CIA orchestrated regime change in Iran two times, and also orchestrated regime change in Iraq by assassinating Abd al-Karim Qasim and then filling the role with Saddam. The deal was that by helping him become president of Iraq, he would use to US dollar for all of Iraq’s oil transactions. The plan backfired when Saddam invaded Kuwait, where the US has ties to oil reserves. This was why the US invaded Iraq, fabricating that the invasion was due to weapons of mass destruction. This is the biggest lie and the ultimate form of hypocrisy. The US sold the very chemical weapons to Saddam, that are illegal according to international law, that were used to kill the Shia and Kurds of Iraq, who resisted his dictatorship, and over a million Iranians, out of fear of the Shia-led Islamic revolution inspiring further revolt of the Shia of Iraq.
With climate change becoming evermore pressing, my hope is that more and more countries will switch to sustainable energy sources and that oil will become obsolete. Then, the US dollar will be no more
The great Malcolm X said that “chickens out to pasture, always come home to roost.” Essentially, what goes around, comes around.
Hopefully soon, Iran and Iraq can finally rest easy, and hopefully the 40 year civil war in Afghanistan that the US started to destroy the Soviet Union will finally come to an end.

Henry David Thoreau | Elevating Ourselves: Thoreau on Mountains | 1999
“All praise be to God - the Creator of all the created beings, Who makes the sustenance freely available, Who starts the day, Who is the Owner of glory, might, favours, and bounties -
Who is so far away that none can ever see Him, Who in the same time, is so near that He is fully aware of even the whispering secrets.”
“Today I will not violate the law of God.”
