As someone used to hearing the noise, she didn’t find it annoying, just familiar. Tilting her head, she had to resist completely caving in. However, she wasn’t surprised Laetitia couldn’t do everything here. After all, a lot of this stuff seemed almost made for adults, or at least older teens, and Laetitia was what, 10? Maybe 12?

Nonetheless, she’d at least humor the girl. “And what is it that you wanted to do?”

Laetitia couldn’t help but to break into a wide grin when Red had said the magic words of what she wanted to do. This was her chance! While there were plenty of things that her, given her small size, couldn’t do, there was something in particular she had her eye on. “I wanted to do the maze, mostly!” She declared, gesturing towards the entrance of it, “I don’t really care about the prize. I just think it’ll be fun!”

what is the series (game i think?) about?

☆ It is a game ! The short version is that Lobotomy Corporation is about how you’re in charge of a monster daycare full of angry toddlers Actual Version is it’s a game about how you (the Manager, known as X) handle a facility full of monsters! You are mainly helped by seraphs (robots) and an AI known as Angela that will guide you through 50 days of managing. You also have employees known as Agents to use at your disposal to interact with these monsters in order to generate energy in the form of boxes. A wide variety of monsters too, such as those based off of fairy tales (Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White), phobias (such as abandonment or loneliness), or really anything else. While there are helpful abnormalities, most of them can and will try to kill your employees in some way! But it’s okay, probably, since your goal is to produce as much energy as you can!

Red both loved the child… and wanted to facepalm. That was not what she meant but she’d take it. She knelt down so she was moreso at eye-level with the wee witch. 

“I meant Spirale itself, but that makes sense. And I had to take a few other ways. I live a ways from here,” She told the other. “Is there something you came here for?”

As Red had knelt down, Laetitia began to bounce even more where she stood, the sound of her bells likely annoying to anyone else in their near vicinity. Not that she cared at the moment - she was just excited! She stopped for the moment though, looking up at Red with a wide eyed expression. “I don’t know how I got here here,” Laetitia began, talking first about the Spirale, “But I came here to have fun! I wanna do everything the festival has!” She smiled again, and now simply turned her head this way and that to look around. “I think I did almost everything... I don’t really have anyone to do everything with...” She trailed off, frowning as she looked at the other girl with an almost puppy dog look.

“There’s a large variety of tastes, anyhow, though there’s many ways to enjoy it.” And in the matters of tea, she’d seen the oddest things; Kirika Kure was the one person she knew, for example, that took her tea with three cups of jam. “But if it’s a general gift, hmmm…”

“It’d be hard to say what most people like. it’s all rather subjective. Best you can hope for is paying attention to their tastes, see what they’d like the most based on that. If it does help, though, I know chai tea has been more popular as for late.”

“Chai...” Laetitia repeated, nodding along to what the other girl was saying. What she said sounded almost obvious the moment it entered Laetitia’s ears; isn’t that what friends normally did? Listen to one another and pay attention to even the tiniest details? Then she thought about how she didn’t actually know what chai tea was, but decided that that would be a question she’d have to ask later. Maybe to someone else that she wasn’t afraid of annoying with too many basic questions. “Thank you, ma’am!” Laetitia said, a bright smile on her face. Certainly this would help her a lot in the future! But then she paused, and thought again, and then asked: “What about you? I can give you a small gift! For being so kind to help me...”

Little Red watched people go in pairs into the pixies’ maze. She was, justifiably, nervous. The Fairies’ Festival was always one to be wary of, but… these look mostly harmless. That’s when she heard a familiar chime. Turning around, she noticed a certain wee witch.

Making her way through the crowd, her basket from the market in hand, she approached the small girl.

“How did you even get here?” She asked the small child.

Laetitia had been hovering around the Cotes ward for the entirety of the day, the magical wonder of the festive attractions drawing her at just about every turn. She wasn’t sure how long she had been in just one ward, but she wanted to experience absolutely everything it had to offer. She only paused at the pixie maze, wondering how would she ever be able to go inside on her lonesome.  When she heard someone speak to her, she turned around quickly, bells ringing as she did. Her first reaction was to fully pause, staring up at the person in front of her, and then it was to happily bounce in place. Finally, a familiar face!  “Hi! Hello!” She said, happily, “I walked here! From my house! But I don’t know about here here!” She pauses for a laugh, “How’d you get here?”

Gyomei blinked as the little girl chattered on. Even if she wasn’t human she could mimic a young child very well– she seemed like the imaginative, sociable sort. He wasn’t unfamiliar with the personality type. Even so, the things she was saying were… interesting.

This Clouded Monk ate people, and she had mistaken them for one another. Gyomei felt an uncharacteristic chill and had to push past it; at the very least this girl knew that eating people was wrong. He had to be thankful for small mercies, but that was truly scraping the bottom of the barrel.

“No,” Gyomei said gently, too perturbed to think about this exchange too much, “you shouldn’t harm your friends. I don’t think he was someone you should have been around.” But how would he know? They’d been in the same place, but the circumstances were a mystery.

Laetitia had completely paused as she listened to the man, ceasing her musical movement as she had a second of thought. Certainly the other abnormalities were her friends too, right? But did she hang around them the way she did with her normal friends? Not exactly - after all, so many of them were adults, and adults were always busy with adult things. “We didn’t really hang out much!” She said in an attempt to justify her friendliness, “I mean. We really couldn’t. I had to stay in my room! And if I wanted to be good I had to stay in there all day!”  Then she paused, and kicked up some dirt with a pout. “It wasn’t really fun. It was more like a metal box and I couldn’t even play with my friends! But now I can make new friends to hang out with!” The grin on her face was almost sickeningly sweet and wide - pity to be used on someone that couldn’t really see it.

“Hey, you’re my size!” 

The vampire, who had never been particularly good at proper social interaction, was already running straight for the other child with no care for the collision course she had just set the two on. With how this stranger also had deep, red eyes, Flandre could make quite the informed guess that this girl was indeed not human– which, in Flandre’s mind, made her a friend. Most humans were just plain old weird after all, and she didn’t like them very much. Marisa, Reimu and Sakuya were probably the only exceptions off the top of her head… she missed Sakuya already.

Skidding to a halt mere moments before she would of rammed directly into the witch, Flandre had a giddy grin plastered all over her expression, bouncing up and down on her heels. 

“Can I play with your bells?”

When someone had come barreling towards her, Laetitia had let out a surprised yelp, instantly scrunching up her tiny body and watching the other girl with wide eyes. She wasn’t used to people being so outwardly excited yet, and anyone coming straight up to her was previously unheard of - but when the other girl showed only curiosity and no malice at all Laetitia forced herself to relax and nod her head. “Y-Yes, just don’t - don’t tug on them, okay?” She said, voice a tad quiet as she stared at the other girl in awe. Although the other looked like a child as well, her bright eyes - red as well - and wings gave away to something that wasn’t very human. Laetitia wondered if she was an abnormality just like herself in some way.  “My name’s Laetitia,” She added, “I - I like your wings. They’re very pretty!”

“’Best’ is rather subjective, isn’t it? I personally prefer black tea, but if you want to find out which one you like the most, why don’t you try various teas and reach your own judgement?” It does surprise her, if being frank, that there’s someone who’s never had tea before. Hard to imagine, even; Oriko has been drinking tea for so long that it might as well be part of her blood at this moment. “Is it for someone in particular? Or do you just feel like being nice? Since you want it as a gift. Everyone’s got their own tastes, some might not even like tea at all.” Not that I can imagine someone disliking it.

Laetitia had a genuine pause as she considered what she was being told. While, yes, that all definitely made sense to her - she hadn’t even thought about her own ability to judge the different teas that were now presented before her. Not that she would be able to. That much Laetitia knew, after all; without an ability to taste or savour, the thrill of finding a tea preference was completely lost on her.  “Just a general gift...” Laetitia murmured, suddenly feeling rather self conscious about her entire situation. How could she give someone a gift that she herself didn’t fully grasp? “I, ah... don’t really like tea. So I wouldn’t know,” She said, half lying. “But most people do! So that’s why I thought to do this. Unless there’s something that everyone would like to have?”

Despite knowing for certain that he was not referred to by that name, Gyomei had to pause and wonder if he’d actually encountered this little girl at some point without his realizing. He had passingly met many people– it was possible she’d just seen him and made the rest up in her head. It didn’t help she was being rather vague, either.

His head turned to follow her as she started darting around him, jingling all the while almost like a temari would. The unwitting comparison made his tears finally spill over. Still, the little girl (if that’s what this was) refused to make any sense.

“I do know monks,” Gyomei relented, “but none that go by that name…” It sounded much more like a title than an actual name anyway– and a foreboding one at that. Clouded, like something partially obscured or murky. Hidden from full view. No, it wasn’t the most trustworthy title by any means, and where this child might encounter someone like that he had little clue. She probably didn’t either, considering it had been referred to as “the place.”

“Well, I don’t know if Mr. Clouded Monk’s name is Mr. Clouded Monk, but...” Laetitia paused as she came to a stop, swaying a little in the breeze as she did. She thought it was odd that the man was reacting in the way he was. Did she startle him? She hoped not! She swayed a little more in place - what usually made people feel better? “You might have liked to meet him! He was very tall and also had very noisy beads,” Laetitia started, a brilliant smile back upon her face. “Though sometimes I heard he ate people and I don’t think you’re supposed to do that to your friends?” She paused for a moment, then, in order to think. “So maybe he wouldn’t be a good friend? But that’s okay! There was probably other people you would have been friends with mister!”

Did an employee get too attached during attachment work before w/ Laetitia? Is so, what happened?

☆ Generally, getting attached to an abnormality is frowned upon - after all, you are a professional employee, and these are dangerous monsters that are more than willing to rip you apart at a moment’s notice. But certainly not the one that looks like a cute little girl, right? Anyone that gets overly attached to Laetitia will, in turn, find that she is attached to them. At this point, it is better that the manager allows you to work with her for the rest of the day, since Laetitia equally loves to give out gifts to the people she is attached to! And if you get sent to work with another abnormality.... unfortunately, the only person that’ll be seeing you next is the cleanup crew.
