Twitch is gonna start kinda censoring queer people and it would be really helpful if you could read the next few sentences and then also go to a link and click the word vote.

They're implementing a new rule where if you discuss "sensitive social issues" at all you have to flag your streams as such, these issues include things like war and political unrest but also any lgbtq topics (once again our existence is political).

Essentially a streamer will have to choose between never ever mentioning anything queer (or even just discussing their own life if they're queer themselves) or flagging every stream with "sensitive social issues" and scaring away 90% of viewers.

So school and work have been kicking my ass and I was able to stream, like, once this year BUT....did you know I was able to make a pretty damn decent approximation of my fursona/vtuber on Critter Cove

Damn that game has some good character creation. It's still in early access on Steam but it's got a lot to do and explore. It's like a weird mix of Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing? But old school Animal Crossing where the mean villagers are actually still kinda mean LOL

Given Tumblr's partnership with Midjourney and the fact they apparently only 'believe' they will honor opt-out requests as new ones come in, I may delete this blog. I've posted too much stuff over the years both here and on my main account to accurately go through and run all my stuff through those AI-scrubber programs that mess with trainers and I'm concerned about the possibilities of reblogs from non-opted-out blogs and how that will be handled.

I may come back under a different username, but that depends on what kind of additional protections I can put in place. I know my art and stuff isn't like, the most amazing out there, but I'm proud of it and I'm not comfortable with the chances of it being used like this. In fact, I'm pretty damn irate about it and Tumblr's history of being a functional website has made me trust this entire opt-out process even less.

I'll be exporting what I have (I've got 12 years of content all together and I'm not willing to lose all of it) but we'll see where it goes from here. IF I decide to go through with a fresh blog, I will post the new name before deleting this one.

Will blowing up my blog/sideblogs fix anything? No, probably not. I'm aware it's a fairly useless/petty act of protest in the grand scheme of things. I'm aware that I'm incredibly angry and frustrated and also dealing with a migraine on top of it and could very well be acting out without thinking things through clearly, so it largely depends on whether or not tumblr's export function even works (again, my main blog is OLD and I have a LOT of posts) and maybe how I'm feeling after I've calmed down some.

But god DAMN does this feel like a fucking kick in the face.

Due to a few reasons - including confusion with a larger streamer with a similar name who is also a possum (though not an anthro one), I have been considering possibly switching up my model with something else entirely. i'd probably keep some possum elements but in smaller doses. I've actually gone as far as starting a new model but

I'm still kinda torn on the idea, honestly. I do wanna express the other vtuber hasn't expressed any issues with me (he's actually really cool about it) so it's more just a me thing, really. Anyway, still on a general hiatus for streaming, we'll see how intense my next class is in January and how I'm feeling.

Hey Possums, I hate to say it but I need a break...like an extended one. Despite work & school &frequent migraines, I tried sticking to my regular stream schedule & I've hit a point of just being a bit too rundown and something needs to give. I need to take a hiatus. Not sure how long it'll be, exactly, but I'll hopefully be back to streaming soonish. Thank you so much to everyone who has been so supportive this last year, it's meant a lot to me. I'm still here on discord, of course! I know the server isn't super active I do check on posts when I see there are notifications so if you need to reach me or just wanna chat, I'll be here.
