hey guys
I'm Gela, also known as acoraxia, formerly known as wolfloupen, and I've been struggling with domestic abuse for nearly all my life. It's gotten to the point where I find my dad sleeping in my bed when I'm in bed, my mom gaslighting me into giving her money and never getting it paid back and playing housewife for my dad whenever my mom becomes emotionally unavailable.
My mother has admitted to being abusive for the sake of it and my dad doesn't do anything to defend me from her, sometimes even joining her or making the situation worse. They weren't there to protect me when I was sexually assaulted and even tried to make me empathize with them when my abuser died. My extended family is always on their side and I've been called spoiled and selfish all my life for wanting some privacy and respect out of them.
My parents have been preventing me from maintaining a job. I get some money left over from financial aid but I've been putting that aside to help me save up to move.
Please consider donating to my gofundme so I can move out.
Here's other ways you can help support me: - patreon (1$/month) - ko-fi (1$/month or donations) - buying adopts [ toyhouse | collab adopts | kofi shop ]
reblogs are heavily appreciated, thank you for reading!

So I just beat Yngya and I can't shake the feeling the lambs and Narinder either directly or indirectly worked together to make that ritual.
We know that Narinder was confronted by Shamura for trying to reverse death itself and cause something unnatural- Something that could describe the rot as it's reanimated flesh without a soul.
Narinder is the only bishop the lambs don't say they hate and the only reason they want Lamb to die is because their death will unleash the rot.
Funny how it lines up perfectly with Narinder demanding Lamb die for him so the world can be remade in his image. What better deal to make with the God of Death than to spread a horrible corruption through the land as revenge and, in return, Narinder is the sole ruler of everything.
To me, it would make sense why Narinder was so determined to kill Lamb. He clearly broke his chains without their death and seemed to need their death for something greater. The lambs have the same urgency when Lamb finds them in the heart as they demand they die for the cause.
It's really interesting to me how the Yngya fight is the only one in Woolhaven that seems to have a reused song: The One Who Waits. It's interesting to me because, on the off chance this is due to River Boy's passing, there are other boss fight songs that match Yngya's aesthetic far more.
I find it too much of a coincidence, based on all these other details, that it just HAPPENS to be Narinder's theme.
The lambs don't strike me as the type to have invented this ritual that is all about resurrection and revenge. It just seems like they got it from somewhere and I firmly believe it had to be from Narinder or even perhaps by finding Narinder's old work.
I haven't played much post game yet nor have I found all the lore, so I could be totally wrong. But, that's where I stand currently.
Building off of this, we know that Narinder chose vessels randomly (as confirmed by a dev) before Lamb showed up. So, that pushes me even more toward the belief that Narinder had a part to play in all of this stuff with Yngya. Lamb was clearly important not only for their species, but because they're the last piece in completing a ritual that will essentially end the world.
When you read Narinder's mind during the first winter, he asks himself if "she's returned". He doesn't seem shocked in the slightest, like he was aware this was a possibility. I haven't gotten the other bishops yet, so I'm not sure if they have any response to the first winter. But, if that's a Narinder exclusive line, it does seem like he was aware Yngya was able to return. It was only a matter of when. He possibly was also confused because Lamb didn't die, thus he could be wondering how Yngya still came back.
Whether Yngya herself was a willing participant, I'm unsure. The lambs seem shocked at what they did to her, so I lean towards her being a victim. However, she seems to also be more than okay with spreading this rot so perhaps she DID engage in this deal as much as the lambs did. After all, if your entire species is being killed over one prophecy then a deal with Death seems pretty tempting. Especially if it means your flock gets revenge for everything done to them.
I'm left wondering if Yngya and Narinder were friendly with one another, seeing as he doesn't seem hateful towards her when winter comes, or if this was a more predatory deal in the way it was with Lamb.
I have two HCs in mind for that:
The first being that Yngya came to Narinder and saw a dark value in his discoveries. Narinder, who felt betrayed by his family and craved more than his current role, may have felt inclined to give Yngya what she wanted and could've seen her as his equal. He clearly likes anyone who feeds his ego and desires so I can imagine he'd view Yngya as some kind of "friend" if she came to him first. This could be why Narinder sweet-talked Lamb into everything. If he and Yngya already had a plan in place, both of them could have been in on how to get Lamb to play their part in the ritual. If this temptation was in all the other lambs we meet, why wouldn't it be in the last Lamb? Preach revenge, and they'll agree to anything (or so the gods believed).
My second HC is that Narinder took advantage of or wanted to fester Yngya's / the lambs' rage. He could have approached them or Yngya with a ritual that fed off their hatred and their anger and promised them the world would suffer for how it treated the lambs. All he'd ask in return was he be the sole ruler of the world after the ritual was done. The lambs, before you fight the heart, seem more than happy to embrace the rot in a kind of suicide ritual. Lamb wants nothing more than to live and give this world a rebirth whereas their own kind want to take everything with them and leave nothing untouched. Narinder expected Lamb to be just like their ancestors, which clearly was something he bet EVERYTHING on.
What I love about COTL is you can interpret so many things from the lore. I hope we continue to get more so I can keep building off my HCs. It's such a cool world and I like how they give us just enough to know the basics, but leave a lot up for interpretation.
INTERESTING
@cathycore : This all sounds pretty plausible, except for the music. The two sharing a theme is a glitch that not everyone experiences, and Yngya has her own boss track.
I was told about the glitch then informed you actually hear Baal's theme within Ygnya's. So now I'm left wondering if there IS still merit to the music. It seems like the devs are trying to imply something, but I'm trying to decipher what exactly.
i wish you kinder, softer days that put your heart at ease

One of my favourite things when reading fanfiction is when you click with an author's style so much that you adore the fanfiction you're reading, and once it's over you need more. So you go to their page and hope that there's more for any fandom you might know- only there isn't any. They've written for other fandoms you aren't familiar with and never would've thought about before.
But you're down so bad for their style and talent that they got you wading in like:
