Hi! Just wanted to say, thank you for all the wonderful reblogs you’ve done for my Minato posts. I always love thinking and talking about the guy and when I remembered how you were the one who wrote “Long May you run” I was so happy!

Back when I was getting into P3R in autumn of 2024 I read that fic over and over because it captured the true grief of Minato’s passing. To this day, I sort of prefer the idea Minato was taken to a hospital and died there over canon because your fic just felt more potent and real. Your writing really helped create the guidelines that Minato isn’t always nice, but so perpetually kind.

Happy 3/5 :) Hopefully you’ll stick around when I keep talking about my guy of all time.

tbh the changes from canon in that fic were a result of my not actually having played The Answer, I just read a synopsis of it and like, the meta of everything it explained about the Seal etc. So minato being brought to a hospital and the timeline of things happening in March ended up being non-canon lol. when I played episode aigis there was a lot of moments i was like "uh oh....welp ¯\_(ツ)_/¯" lmao

Cannot believe I am getting up on my Nozomi defense soapbox again, but I just cannot buy the idea that he's a terrible link just because he's unlikeable or does bad things. Like, once again you do not need to like him nor like his link. Sometimes I don't really like doing it on my multiple Reload playthroughs. But I swear it is agonizing how everybody dogpiles on him to such an annoying degree.

First off, he's 17. Second off, cults are notorious in taking in people deeply struggling and abusing their struggles for their own gain. Half of Nozomi's dialogue involving the cult screams "I am being manipulated". He is constantly betting everything on the cult and on his coping mechanism of eating because literally nobody has ever given him a chance ever.

But you know who does give Nozomi a chance? Minato. He see's the genuine parts of Nozomi like rank three where they try spicy fish ramen or how Minato is always asking if Nozomi sick. Not judgmental, concerned. He sticks around because Nozomi isn't evil and he still calls him out when he goes to far.

And I'm gonna be honest? I think Nozomi does take accountability for his actions. I think he returns the money he stole and tutors the kid he conned and then he leaves Iwatodai for his food trip to get support small businesses. The reason I think this is because Minato never asks. He doesn't prompt or pry the question, he just knows Nozomi will do the right thing. You as the player aren't privy to the satisfaction of that answer and you don't need it to suspend your disbelief that Nozomi changes and takes accountability.

Nozomi's link to me is someone flawed in the ugly way and still having someone come along and stay by his side. One day he will be worthy of the Gourmet king title but until then he needs to do better in the moment. Minato trusts that, he doesn't need to say it out loud. Sometimes you just need to be there, speak up when things go wrong, and have faith. That's what makes this link work for me.

Also, Takemi drugs a teenager, Iwai gets you into Yakuza business, and Sayoko sexually harasses a teenager even if you straight up tell her to stop multiple times. Get off your high horse about persona links doing illegal shit.

I know I just reblogged this but the idea of recreating art from your ancestors FIFTEEN THOUSAND years later is quite beautiful. Like, imagine someone in the year 17,025 recreating art you did just cuz they like it.

You may have liked your artwork or you may have been like 'meh, not my best work', but literal hundreds of generations after you died, a person speaking a language you cannot understand, living in a future so alien to you that you couldn't possibly imagine it, made a sculpture of your art and shared it with thousands and thousands of people on a communication network that uses lightening inside flattened rocks and invisible waves of light that travels to where the stars live and back. And they all love it. Everyone who sees it is like 'aww, that's nice' or 'holy shit I love this'.

They never knew. They, their kids, and their kid's kids never knew that this would happen to that art.

Much the same as you'll never know if your fun little bits of art may survive a crazy long time and be loved by future people.

How to check:

If you can get your finger in either end of the pocket because the stitching doesn’t go all the way across, good news! You have a pocket!

You should be able to feel the sides of the pocket and whatever lining was used. Remove the temp stitches and enjoy!

Transfem Minato Arisato. I shall now elaborate in no particular order. (This is a world where she lives and get's the chance to understand herself better)

She's not changing her name because it’s already gender neutral and it holds important significance to her.

In the same vein, I don’t think she’d present herself too different either. Asides from growing out her hair a bit, wearing the girls uniform, or buying a couple skirts, literally nothing is changing in her wardrobe.

Mitsuru is getting her HRT the minute she asks. At the same time, I don't see her taking it unless she feels it will help her.

She is still off putting, blunt, and kind of an asshole. Her exhausted, blank faced rizz can never be taken away.

It's a bit awkward at first connecting back with all her male guy friends. But with a bit of time they all accept her and try to still treat her normally while remembering she's herself now. ALL OF THEM BTW, ALL OF HER GUY FRIENDS RESPECT HER.

She platonic locked all of her girl links so even before she came out they all saw her as an incredible friend. Naturally that means it's their turn to be by her side and help her out when she needs it.

Minato and Aigis are both the weird girl's of SEES who stand in corners staring at people weirdly. Their still besties obviously.
