Workbench Wednesday: roadside chapel III

Working on the steeple tower right now. Next I’ll have to figure out the roof from the inside. Plan is to ruin this baby, so I’m designing the inside as well as out.

Not a crazy update, but was able to get some solid work done the other night watching my buddy @dallaskemp stream.

Both the Dhunia knot and my bear mount are on their way to getting painted, still a ton of work to do.

Might have converted my bear a little :P

Hey Everyone!

So i have almost finished the basing stage - at the moment only some minor things left to do, like greenstuffing some holes etc.

On this pictures You can see the flames which i have been building for the past 3 days. Forgive me that not much is visible ATM, but they are very white, and i had to pump up contrasts for them to be visible at all.

Generally i’m quite happy with the effect. I’m only thinking about making those thin ends (leading to flamers) a bit shorter, and could arch a bit more.

Oh well, I will know if they came up good after i paint them :) I plan to make tyranids inside the flames almost black, as i have made some searching, and it appears that most things that burn in flames look very dark.

3D printing?

So I'm a complete dummy when it comes to any 3D printing stuff but there's a community center here in town that lets you bring in designs and you pay pennies on the dollar for them to make it for you. I'm highly interested in doing so for terrain and see a ton of blueprints online for such stuff. Is there a preferred site anybody here can recommend? Anyone tried it and can tell me how it went? I don't game much anymore but would love to have some dungeon mazes and stuff as well for RPGs. E: I assume actually buying a printer good enough to make this stuff would run me thousands of bucks, right?

Did a Hemlock Wraithfighter for my Eldar. Proxied it before and liked it, plus the model is sexy, so it was an obvious choice. Happy with the result. Pretty fast to paint, since there’s very little detailing to paint
