Another month, another art prompt challenge! This time around was "chopsticks and salt shaker," so I decided to take *inspiration* from the words instead of taking it literally (I cheated)! Here's a sushi-inspired bottled fairy, the Kikkowoman, in her umami prison. B^)

My friend started up these monthly art challenges, and I figured "oh this'll be funny, I'll throw in some really stupid words, like *nail clippers,* but then I'll add a good word, like *wizard!* This'll be great!" On a wheel of more than 40 words, here we are...

It's a pun about ships.

It's been nearly two years since I restarted my art journey, and I have had the pleasure of chatting with some very wonderful people and artists in various corners of the Internet. Some of those people have adopted me into their friend groups, others have given me wonderful words of encouragement, and others have even gone so far as to make me birthday art. I have been stuck in my shell for decades now, and to all of you who have helped me crack it little by little, there aren't enough words in any language for how much I appreciate you. I decided to make some fan art of some of the cool people I've chatted with over these last couple of years, and, well, uhh, my initial list had about 34 people, and in the time it's taken me to finish this, that list has grown close to 50, and after my first draft of this piece, I realized I would probably never finish it in any sort of timely manner with that many moving parts, so I had to pick and choose who would make the cut... I would love to do another one of these pieces in the future and be able to include some of the new friends I made, along with the ones who I couldn't fit into this project, but maybe I'll aim a *liiiiiiittle* bit smaller next time so this doesn't take me three months? ...Maybe? I am aggressively keeping my depressive-artist complex in check to tell you thank you! I really appreciate the kind words, and I promise I am still trying my best! To you, and to all the other people who keep finding my work on here, thank you. It's always a surprise to check Tumblr and see one of my pieces was re-discovered and shared around, and it truly makes this website so unique and important. I'm glad everyone here loves Kirby, haha~ I promise, I'm still making stuff! Most of it has been self-indulgent graphical assets for Twitch streaming, but once I get the basics down, I've been sitting on a few ideas I'd love to work through! Every thing I create is taking me one step closer to creating animated shorts, so while I can't promise that I'll be posting more often, or that everything I post will be animated, I am still working. i love ur animations!! can I ask what software you use?

My first ask :O Thank you very much! Everything I've posted so far has been created with Clip Studio Paint EX! I find the workflow a bit unintuitive for animation work, but I've gotten a decent grasp as to what I'm doing with it now. As for the future, I'm messing around with an old version of Toon Boom Harmony, so we'll see how that goes! I still plan on using Clip Studio for various things, especially since the brush engine is in a league of its own.
