This is still my favorite Bucky and John moment

It’s a quick nearly blink and you’ll miss it scene but it actually says so much about how Bucky and John are actually in sync and able to work together very well. They’re both soldiers with years of war experience and instinctively know how to read each other.

It also says very clearly with no dialogue but through action just what kind of person John actually is — because despite this fandom constantly painting him a villain, this moment shows John stopping and looking back to WAIT for Bucky to finish his sweep before leaving with Bucky TOGETHER.

And there is no doubt in my mind that this is a very deliberate choice to demonstrate John’s core values and character. The show could have just had John run off and Bucky following him after but they didn’t. They purposefully had John STOP and WAIT. He doesn’t just run off and leave Bucky behind, he STAYS and makes sure Bucky is okay and is finished before leaving TOGETHER. This not only harkens to John’s experience as a soldier but shows what kind of soldier and leader John was during his time as a Captain in the military, that he was and still is someone who cares and will not leave his men/team behind.

In a very quick and simple scene, they established John as a loyal and good leader.

I really hope Thunderbolts continues to build on this Bucky and John dynamic and just how they can and do work well together, let them both learn to appreciate one another.

Soulmates

I believe in a concept where we have tons and tons of soulmates. We have temporary and permanent soulmates. We have platonic and we have romantic soulmates. We have sexual soulmates and we have animal soulmates.

Let me explain.

We have platonic soulmates, like our friends, people we connect well and hard w but do not find any attraction towards for wanting more. Or our children.

We have romantic soulmates where we have a partner who satisfies you romantically (and possibly sexually) well and connect hard and well w.

We have animal soulmates because a connection with a pet and a human can be so strong sometimes that it’s hard to break them and when a pet may pass it’s extremely hard on the owner.

We have sexual soulmates where they are perfect for us sexually (rarely romantically as well in this case, kinda like a square can’t be a rectangle but a rectangle can be a square or whatever that saying is). Because they fit and work w you sexually.

I believe in those soulmates and I believe there is a soulmate for the platonic, sexual and romantic all together. Which would end up basically what people say “I married my best friend”.
