Calendar

Each day on Awnity is 30 hours long. A year is 300 days. Awnity has two moons which orbit in opposite directions. It is 30 days between each time the moons cross paths, which marks the end of the month and is a day called “Moon Day”. On Moon Day, tidal waves and sometimes tsunamis are known to occur, so every Moon Day is considered a holiday; all public places are closed. There are 10 months on Awnity. There is no system of weeks; most schools are closed every 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th, 19th, 20th, 25th, 26th, and 30th day of the month (four day of school with two days off, though the Moon Day break is three days). Dates are written day/month/year, for example Sol 13th of the year 239 would be 13/1/239. (Previously, the years were counted from some arbitrary date which varied in different regions until the world was officially united, marking Sprut 1st of the first year. All years from before this are counted backwards and labeled as B.P., or Before Peace.)

Clement: Early summer

Sol: Mid summer

Gloam: Late summer

Tawn: Early autumn

Bister: Late autumn

Rost: Early winter

Boreal: Mid winter

Paradise

Although Uglo is the center of government, Paradise is the center of the world. Getting to live in Paradise is the reward that many people strive for in life. To get there, you must have 50 labor points and 50 charity points.

To get labor points:

1 per year at an easy/basic job (intern, delivery person, cashier, ect)

2 per year at decent job (teacher, secretary, chef, ect)

3 per year at a dangerous, physically straining, or disgusting job (construction worker, farmer, janitor, plumber, ect)

4 per year at a highly-qualified job (successful business owner, scientist, continent representatives, ect)

To get charity points:

1 for a donation worth $1,000 (fractions of points may be given, the donation may be cash to an organization/government or items to a resale/thrift shop)

1 for 25 hours of volunteer work (again, fractions of points may be given)

1 for every three months that an adopted child is happy in your care (there are scientific tests to prove the child is happy or not so they may not be forced to lie)

Sise

The continent of Sise is an odd one. They keep mostly to themselves. Sise has been quite reserved for a while, so nobody from the outside really knows what’s going on there. The representatives are always quiet during planetary meetings, and there are a few rumors circulating around the area and its representatives. However, there is no concrete evidence to support these claims.

So before, I was going to have a plotline where Sise was super corrupt and started a world war, but I have decided against that. It’s still a bit of an outsider, but I don’t want any wars happening. This is supposed to be a happy place.

Phee

Phee is the largest and most diverse continent in Awnity. There are several mountain ranges, plenty of forest land, a desert, two rainforests, along with plenty of urban areas. Many Anwitians live within each of these regions. Those who like the great outdoors are most commonly found here, but again, there’s plenty of urban areas as well.

Uglo

Uglo (the boot-shaped continent) is the central of the government in Awnity. Most, but not all, of the people living in Uglo are interested in science, math, or government. This is where all government-related meeting are held in Awnity, and it is also where they keep their “space nukes” in case of an extraterrestrial invasion. These nuclear bombs have the capacity to exit the planet’s atmosphere to stop any incoming spacecraft before they reach the planet. These nukes could, if needed, be used in Awnity itself. However, that is unlikely.

What type of flora and fauna is found on Awnity?

Awnity has many flowers. A lot of them are similar to the ones here on Earth, but flowers are highly respected in Awnity. A wide variety are planted everywhere, especially in the grass-covered medians in the center of roads or between the sidewalk and road. On the topic of roads, I want to mention that they do not use fossil fuels on Awnity, they were strictly forbidden as soon as they realized how it negatively impacted the environment. Cars are not the most commonly used, and there’s about an equal amount of cars with 2 seats (both front), 5 seats (two front and three back), and 8 seats (2 front, 3 middle, 3 back). Just about all energy comes from solar, wind, and hydropower. Anyway, the birds are also relatively similar, but there is a species of bird called the immana. They are approximately 7 feet tall with an 8 foot wingspan. They often nest in the mountains of Phee, but can also live in any area with a warm climate besides large cities and (of course) bodies of water.

What kinds of food do they eat? Is it different on the different continents?

To start with, everybody on Awnity is 100% vegan and most people are pretty health conscious. There is very minimal processed/artificial stuff. There is certainly variance in the kinds of dishes eaten on each continent, based mostly on what grows well in the area. I might add information about that later, I might not.

Hey, I’m going back to working on this blog! It’s been a looong time, so I don’t even remember too much of it, which means I’ll have to go through and read everything I posted before. I’ll also probably be making a lot of changes to it as well.

Just A Heads Up

A lot of things I say on here will probably end up contradicting previous statements. Generally, the newer one is canon, but sometimes I'll do this without realizing and I want the original version to be canon. Never be afraid to ask; this IS supposed to be an ask blog, anyway.

George responded by almost biting her in the wrist, but luckily Scar was ready and trained in this sort of thing.

Scar: Uncle Fawn, I'm back! *Scar, who is now covered in mud with a small, bleeding scratch on her cheek, is holding a snake that is wriggling around, trying to bite her*

Fawn: Great Scott, Scar!

Scar: Can we keep it?

Fawn: Sure, why not? You better feed it and clean up after it and make sure it doesn't kill anyone!

Awnity Symbol

The symbol which is the icon for this blog has three colors with the letter A in front. This is sort of like the Awnitian flag. The colors have meaning, too. The purple represents love. The green represents nature and growth. The blue represents air, the oceans, space, and exploration.

Hello! My names Scarlett, or Scar for short.

I currently live in the planet of Awnity, on the continent of Phee in the middle of the forest near the city of Coppick.

Age: 19 Full Name: Scarlett Raven-Ash Hair color: Black with neon blue streaks on the top

Now, you may be wondering, ‘what is that thing on your leg?’ Well, to begin, I was unfortunately born with Amelia. Which caused me to be born without most of my right leg.

When I was born my father had wanted to donate me to a laboratory nearby, but my mother wanted to keep me.

As I grew older, my mother at her coworkers at the lab she works in, designed my first prosthetic. It was amazing, I was able to learn how to walk properly finally.

But, a few years later, there was a terrible tragedy. Scott Fawn-Dan, a colleague of my parents, was jealous of their success as scientists, and acted on his jealousy.

I was 10, a police officer knocked on my door while I was doing my homework awaiting my parents arrival home. The police officer told me what had happened. Scott had poisoned my parents, and was currently under custody. The officer then bowed his head and said 'I’m sorry, there was nothing the paramedics could do.’

After my parents had died, I moved in with my Uncle Fawn. He’s pretty cool, and the only family I have contact with. Fawn was really into nature and taught me about it. He taught me how to make medicines and stuff like which ones I could and couldn’t eat.

I ended up excelling in all of my classes and graduated Advanced a year earlier than most students in Advanced. For my last project, I created myself a new prosthetic. Which is the one you see before you. It is controlled by the chip that was implanted in my brain when I got my first prosthetic. It was designed to be able to withstand natural terrain and harsh weather. It is also completed with storage units made with hollow components of the leg.
