"When looking back doesn't interest you anymore, you are doing something right."
Work, work, work
It was last week word. But in the end everything went well.
In the middle of such work there were also some news. I’ve got a new colleague. Yeah, it’s a woman. In a men’s world it’s a breath of fresh air. At first sight it seems to be friendly. At least she speaks and laughs with us. Last week our boss informed us that finally we’re moving. So, this week it’s our last week in this office. Yeahhh! Civilization were we go. In fact I don’t hate the actual place, but I like to see other people, be near restaurants, coffees, services and, at the moment, we don’t have that. Just the sea, some seagulls and lots of fresh air.
Started to read a new book, “How moved my cheese”. In spite of being a small book I’m still in the beginning but it seems to be a very interesting book. I’m on that phase that motivational books are welcome. More than ever I need to focus on my career, learn as much as I can, improve my skills and not stay accommodated to what seems to be guaranteed.
In the meantime, and following what is written in the book I started to rewrite my cv. Who knows when I’m going to need to use it again. The best is always be prepared!
See you tomorrow...
One day, one word: Linux!
Today I decided to work from home. Lots of stuff to do and a huge level of concentration needed. So, nothing best that stay at home working.Today I have to test in Linux. And how I hate it. Well, in fact I feel that we are in the beginning of a great relationship. But like in every relationship I’m in the hate phase. Hope that love comes soon!
What have to be a great day testing, ends up to be a day solving problems in Linux. Lots of errors and no solution until now. And even the old solution - turn on, turn off - not resulted.
In the edge of madness I decided to make some mandatory courses of the company. Well, at least I made 60% of it.
Tomorrow it will be a long day. Everything that I had to test today I have to validate tomorrow. And, yes, finish the course.
See you tomorrow...
New job, old habits
The new job is going well. Everyday is a challenge, lots of things to do and to learn. And how I like to have new things to learn. When I started this new job, I settled with myself that I would monetize best my spare time.
So, new daily rules include less time on Facebook (half an hour per day, a post per week) and Instagram, start reading before go to sleep. Already had passed two months and I read two books. I’m in the middle of the third one. So far so good.
Another thing that I defined was that I need to start writing. I need to improve my English because my everyday life is all in English.
Everyday a small step.
Time…
It’s been so long since I came here to write my last post. In the meantime, I finally got a new job. Has been such a challenge that neither in dreams I dreamed about what I’m doing now.
From now on, I will be more regular to write and to share my daily adventure that’s my new job.
Just another day at the office...
Today was just another day at the office… My boss rather talk to me, and my colleagues do almost the same. Yes, it’s true I feel completely alone. But the great news is that tomorrow I have another interview.
Nevertheless, and because nothing is guaranteed, today I continued with the saga to send cvs.
Tomorrow, I will tell you how was the interview.

The interviews - normal/weird
As I told yesterday, today I had two interviews.
The first one went very well. I liked the way the person conducted the interview. She explained how the company was structured, how were the projects, their presence in the world and what kind of people they usually look. It was two hours and a half being interviewed. I feel comfortable explaining my career until now and my expectations for the future.
The second one was kind of surreal. The interviewer never look at me, just wrote what I said and explained the company and the work they developed quite bad. And the best was when she asked me if I speak and write french fluently when I don’t have this information in my CV… For me it’s clear that when you don’t have some kind of information in your CV it means you don’t have that skill. Am I right? The interview took 20 minutes.
Both told me that next week they will call me or send an e-mail if I pass for the next stage or not. Let’s wait for the answers, but in the meantime the task is continuing send CVs.
Looking for a new job - Round 1
Two weeks ago I decided that I would look for a new job. That feeling that your work isn’t recognized, that there is no teamwork, that your boss likes more one than the others, that the information isn’t shared equally by all, that the most important are not the clients but to achieve the goals in order to earn more money at the end of the year, that there isn’t no fresh ideas to make things better, that you no longer are learning new things,…
A few months ago I read an interview where a man explained how he saw his professional career. Every year he had to be learning new things but also had to be making more money. It seems weird but when I read that I felt that it my life was in need of a turning point.
I need to know people that want to grow professionally, that have new aspirations and desires, which recognizes the work of their peers.
Two weeks ago I sent my first cvs. The answers started to appear last week. Tomorrow I’ll have two job interviews. Wish me luck!
