Not only I'm gay, but I'm also neurodivergent,
which makes me believe that I can do basically anything even tough not having any experience or knowledge prior to doing said thing - That said, recently I got in the mood of upcycling some second handed clothes, and I started trying to replicate one of my favorite items from Cyberpunk 2077 - the Wolf School jacket (I may or may have not sold my soul to CD projekt)
It clearly had belonged to a cop before it ended on a thrift shop (you could see where the badges were glued/sewed on the sleeves). The leather was pretty worn, had glue stains, some small holes and two broken zippers (one in the pocket and the other in the cuff), so I started by cleaning and moisturizing the leather.
Then I had to be realistic: I wouldn't be able to make a 1:1 copy of the witcher jacket, I don't have the materials for it (sewing leather is fking hard man) and I'm ok with it
Also, last Halloween I made an impulsive purchase of this mask, it's horrible to wear btw, and I don't know how to explain my line of thought but it fitted the shoulder of the jacket pretty nicely, and oh well, creative freedom I guess?
Attached the mask using some synthetic leather scraps I had from a previous project.
Also sewed this little potion holder thingy on top of one of the glue stains that I couldn't take out.
For the other shoulder I wanted shoulder pads just like the jacket in the game, so I made a pattern (couldn't find any online, so i made it by scrath). Used the synthetic leather scraps again and also some spikes to attach the parts together but still keep it mobile
Sewn the top part and glued the botton part into the jacket
My plan was to paint the witcher signs on the front and the logo on the back, I started with the signs, made a stencil of them
Used hairspray to fix the stencil in place but apparently it didn't do much good because the edges got blurred anyway. Managed to fix it easily with black paint
At this point I got annoyed at how white the mask was in contrast with the jacket, I wanted to paint it but I stuck it waaay too well to the jacket, so I had to improvise
Turned out pretty nice I think
And now the part I was dreading: time to do the back piece.
Made the stencil (such a pain in the ass to cut all the little pieces, you have no ideia), then used an extra-strong hairspray this time.
time to fix the edges with black paint
The silver paint have some glitter in it, it's a nice effect
Now the only thing left to do is fix the cuff
Made these tiny buckles, I think they help a lot with the silhouette, style and reference of the jacket
Took me like 3 or 4 days of work, and in total costed me around $60 (not counting the things I already had at home)
Had fun doing it, overall, really liked the results. Would give it an 8/10, fucking hairsprays man
