portraits of utility poles
My autistic child got so excited upon seeing someone else portraying their special interest. What great art.
Behold: every utility pole from our house to their school.
!!!!!!!
This is so beautiful! Your child is an amazing artist. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm very moved right now.
I love gaining weight on my holidays it is the best kind of souvenir you can get like you're letting everyone else know that the food was indeed good

I feel like there is this Ideal standard I hold myself and my feelings up to, and whenever I fail to meet it (which is most of the time), I feel unworthy myself and unworthy of feeling the feeling. In the meantime life passes me by and people come and go and they love me and I miss out on all those good things. But I am learning to give myself and my feelings some space and to not berate myself for not existing or feeling perfectly

you are not a wasteland you just need ibuprofen and a hot bath and a shower and a nutritious meal and some water and some fresh air and to do something productive and to do something creative and to do something that takes physical exertion and to do something social
it’s a lot you don’t have to check off every box every day it’s impossible but you have to know what you need even if you can’t give it to yourself and then you have to pick one thing that is doable and give yourself that and if you still believe you’re a wasteland then pick the second most doable thing and keep going and at some point either you will feel better or you won’t but at least you just did like three things that were good for you which is proof that you are not a wasteland even if you still feel that way do you really believe yourself about it as much as before
cannot stop thinking about this tweet… AUGH 😭

we got an ugly health scare today and my anticipatory grief felt a little less anticipatory and a little more real for a couple of minutes. thankfully, in the end, everything went well. I need to look into how to be able to enjoy life as it is being lived and suck out all of the present's marrow
