I tend to like drawing monsters and depressed women, so if that's up your alley this is the page for you! 🔮 Every day, I‘ll spin a wheel, and whatever it lands on is my art subject for the day… ✨ The wheel is a long list of characters that people have either suggested or characters that I personally find cool. I do but I haven’t used it for anything other than personal use. I’d like to make video essays someday, but I’m not exactly a good essayist. ^^; What brings you to ask?

happy to report that my pip and seras miis immediately married each other in tomodachi life. they went on a honeymoon to Australia, which I think is the funniest possible choice for those two

currently too lazy to port pictures from my switch to my phone so you can have the cryptid photos of them instead.

I think about pip/seras a very "Normal" amount so I thought it'd be fun to make character playlists for them both! I haven't made Seras's playlist yet, but I've made major strides with Pip's. If you're a fan of classic rock, you might like it! That's not the only genre featured in here, but there is a lot of what one would consider 'dad rock.'

I'm totally open to discussion about anything featured. For the most part I wanted to stay time-accurate, but if something is in the actual Hellsing OSTs, I can make an exception. I really struggled with trying to fit Mint Royale into here- they only had a single album out by the time Hellsing takes place. I have it mostly sorted by vibes, but it's still a work in progress.

there's a funny detail across all hellsing versions that no one ever mentions: The Uniform Hellsing gives Seras let me explain. in all 3 iterations of Hellsing, we see what her outfit was like as a police officer:

all three outfits imply the same thing. she was a regular cop sent as a part of a SWAT team to the remote English village. we know that she's a regular cop and not SWAT because she is not kitted to the nines like the rest of the unit. In the 2001 Gonzo version, they were generous enough to give her a tactical vest. However, in the OVA and the Manga- she's just wearing a regular beat cop uniform. then she gets turned! you'd think, since everyone refers to her as 'police girl', that she'd continue to wear the same uniform. she does not. after about a month working for them, Hellsing issues her with a uniform regardless of iteration. (It's the same design, just with color discrepancies)

it's not even a sexy halloween alternate version of what her coworkers are wearing. it's just a completely different outfit overall.

you'd think since the organization is headed by a woman, that Integra would understand the impracticality of such an outfit. however in every single version, without fail, this is the outfit that Integra gives Seras to wear. and it always happens off-screen. it's hilarious. this entire series is absurd.

I’m working on a large scale hellsing comic (in the scripting stage still, stay tuned for art) and I’m wondering about the agreed timeline of Hellsing. the manga is generous with dates in the first half, but the second half (fall of London) takes place in a single night.

My rough timeline based on the manga and the OVA looks like this:

Important dates:

July 5th, 1999: Seras is turned & brought to the Hellsing organization.

August 12th: Seras and Alucard kill the lover vampires in Burmingham

August 15th: Seras and Alucard eliminate ghouls in Patrick, Ireland. Confront Anderson.

~ASSUMING that the Anderson confrontation gives them a lot of downtime~

~September 8th: Seras is given Harkonnen (night time.) In the morning, the Valentine Brothers attack and kill almost all staff.

~September 9th: There’s a funeral for all Hellsing staff + the Wild Geese are hired. (I think the date for this one is foggy. Integra receives a letter from Maxwell inviting her to the museum the same day the Geese are hired, and there’s no reason to believe Integra would stall on meeting Maxwell at this point given all her staff just died.)

September 10th: Integra meets Maxwell. Seras plays cop at the art museum.

September 11th: The Team Goes to Brazil (day time.) war happens (night time)

~September 12-15th: The Team Stays at a motel in Brazil. Pip and Seras go on a date. (IIRC the OVA says they were there for 3 days.)

~September 15th, cont.: Team meets with the Queen and Schrödinger

~From there on out, there are no listed dates in the manga.~

I think it can be assumed the climax of Hellsing happens before October 1999- the second half of the manga runs at a breakneck pace. During the Zeppelin scene, no one in London is wearing coats, so I don’t think the timeline stretched to winter.

What would the rough dates for the rest of the manga be, if you were to take a guess?
