snarky lee getting wrecked out of their mind and the ler finally giving them a break and letting them breathe, then going “so. you ready to surrender yet?”

and the lee is panting, gasping, then looks up at them with the smallest oh-so-hesitant smile.

“kiss… my.. A-HAHAAHAHA-ASS!!” as they’re interrupted another barrage of tickles (bonus of it’s a raspberry and they can’t even talk because of how much their tummy is buzzing)

and their dumb ass KNEW they were gonna get wrecked AGAIN but they’d rather suffer than take the L

Wait i’m so sorry. Please listen to me ……. being tickled right after a really good cry. you’re feeling fragile and sensitive, but also so supported by someone who loves you — someone who helped you through a difficult moment.

and then you hear something like…

“you know what i think would cheer you up?”

“uh oh… i think that the tickle monster is here… and they’re hungry for some giggles…”

“i wanna see that sweet smile again! where has it gone? hmmm… let me see if i can find it.”

“now i’m in the mood to see some happy tears. how does that sound?”

I'd never tell a lee they have to verbally ask for tickles before getting them because if anyone told me that, I am shutting down. I will place their hands where I want them to tickle me, I will put myself in the most vulnerable position, I'll even write it down for them if I have to, but if none of that is satisfactory then dang, I guess neither of us are getting what we wanted

okay but how about letting the lee squirm away? Not pushing them back when they sit up, sitting a tiny bit lighter on them so they can crawl away. And then they’re panting, shaking with left over giggles… and a little disappointed- until you drag them back by the ankle with evil chuckles “thought you could get away? You’re so cute pretending~ C’mere, I’m going to tickle you worse for this. Don’t complain, this is what you wanteeeed~”

Letting them escape and then smugly grinning at them. Slowly moving closer while they stammer and blush and tell you to stay away but it’s so clear they don't want it to stop now. Finally getting face to face, hands on the ground on each side.Asking “What’s wrong? Are you tired? Is it enough?” and watching them fold inwards. Because no, they’re not tired, and it’s not enough yet. But how do they say it without dying because of how flustered they are  ? They try shaking their head- “I don’t speak lee sign language. You’re gonna have to tell me what you want~”

If you asked me why I like tickling, I would tell you that I like it, because it makes me happy.

If you asked me on a deeper level, I'd tell you I enjoy it, because I lost my childhood too fast, I became serious and frustrated. Tickling, as dumb as it sounds, helps to remind me that I can still be silly and not always take things too seriously. It makes me feel thrill, the same thrill when you're watching a horror movie, that anticipating accent. It makes me feel safe, and relax, taking my mind off of stuff when I need to.
