jesse was born into wealth , privilege and the kind of upbringing where consequences rarely lasted long . raised just outside chicago in a well off italian-american family , jesse grew up spoiled , charismatic and painfully used to getting his own way . his parents gave him everything — expensive hobbies , private coaching , endless second chances . and hockey quickly became the one thing he genuinely excelled at . from the moment he stepped onto the ice as a kid he played with an aggressive edge that made him impossible to ignore .
hockey gave jesse confidence , attention and identity long before he had to figure himself out outside of it . deep down , though , there's always been a quiet insecurity to that success : without hockey , jesse isn't entirely sure what he's actually good for .
off the ice , he was the definition of a class clown growing up . loud , impulsive and endlessly entertaining — the kind of guy teachers hated but everyone else gravitated towards anyway . by college , jesse had fully leaned into the frat boy lifestyle . he attended university on a hockey scholarship and became infamous for partying , hookups , skipped classes and treating life like one long joke . he never took much seriously , skating through life on natural talent , charm and the assumption that things would always just work out for him .
six years ago , jesse was drafted to the texas twisters moved to dallas where he fit in almost immediately . on the ice , he developed a reputation as one of the teams biggest agitators . jesse plays emotionally and aggressively , constantly chirping opponents , throwing reckless hits and spending an absurd amount of time in the penalty box . fans love him for it ; opposing teams can't stand him . he thrives on getting under people's skin , usually flashing his signature grin after causing problems that he has no intention of apologizing for . a trait that follows him off the ice , too .
now in his early thirties , jesse still lives like he's stuck somewhere in his early twenties . his wardrobe consists almost entirely of oversized hoodies , sweats , backward caps and wrinkled white tees . he spends too much money on flashy cars , stays up too late playing video games and still relies on humour to avoid taking anything , or anyone , too seriously . he's charming , extroverted and impossible to ignore , but also immature , noncommittal and deeply allergic to growing up .
lately though , cracks have formed beneath the surface . as teammates settle down and life outside hockey starts moving forward around him , jesse has quietly begun realizing how empty parts of his own life feel . hockey has always been the only thing he truly knows how to do and for the first time he's starting to worry what happens when that eventually isn't enough anymore .
the problem is , jesse doesn't really know how to be anyone other than the entertaining disaster everyone expects him to be — so instead , he keeps laughing louder and acting younger , pretending he isn't starting to feel left behind .

he flirts constantly without even realizing he's doing it , which has gotten him into trouble more times than he can count
