In the world of Ni No Kuni, sometime after the destruction of Shadar during some kind of diplomatic event, Lord High Lord Drippy managed to cause such deep offense in some world leader that he had to invent a brand new holiday, "fool's day", as a cover to justify his ill-timed joke, so as to prevent war being declared on the Fairyground.

You know I always say that Wrath of the White Witch has better story and Revenant Kingdom has better gameplay, but I will admit that Wrath of the White Witch has one gameplay aspect that I really miss in Revenant Kingdom solely out of nostalgia, and that is the uniquely JRPG-flavoured experience of your party members being clinically deceased for 90% of every boss battle

Ni no kuni is an incredible game series because the first protagonist is some random eleven year old whos mom died and then you have the second one who is just the isekaid US president

Happy Halloween here's what the Motorville gang is dressing up as

Oliver - mechanic: big goggles on his head and a bunch of tools stuffed into a belt that keep falling out. He gets an apron stained with oil from Rusty and disguises the sky tree wand as a screwdriver in case there's a situation

Phil - cowboy: he just seems like the type. This is the US in the 60s so he also has a real gun. He says it's based on "the guy from that Gunsmoke tv show" but he just grabbed whatever hat he could find downtown for his teenager budget

Myrtle - Alice in Wonderland: at first she thinks that a blond girl in a blue dress might be too easy but then Leila knits a little purple striped hat for Timmy Toldrum and she decides she absolutely has to be Alice. She carries Cheshire Timmy in a basket all night

Denny - dragon: he makes big purple wings out of cardboard and attaches it to purple hoodie + makes a smaller pair for Ghengis' leash harness. He also borrows his mom's acrylic nails to make claws. He keeps getting mistaken for a bat. Oliver asks where he got the idea and he says "a dream"
