How do you think Dany could react to Jon’s parentage? Part of me wonders if she’d struggle with it less then he would tbh
I think that dany would be over the moon to find out that she has family left, especially rhaegar’s son! tbh people who think that she’d feel threatened by jon or faegon are forgetting that dany isn’t *really* searching for the throne, she’s searching for home/love/family/belonging. her first reaction isn’t going to be “how does this impact the line of succession?”, it’s going to be “you mean I’m not alone anymore ?? 🥰”
the main issue that I could see would be the question of rhaegar and lyanna and the chaos that their relationship brought to both of their families. like I don’t see jon idolizing rhaegar the way that dany does, especially if he feels more connected to lyanna. could that cause some tension between them? maybe. but then again any tension about their family histories would exist whether jon was a targaryen or not.
plus the whole incest thing isn’t exactly an issue for dany, so unless jon has an issue with it (which he might) then it wouldn’t even have to change their relationship. a bf and a nephew. 2 for 1 deal. win-win <3
also jon is a freak. they’re both freaks. that’s like their whole thing. a little incest isn’t going to scare him off. I have complete faith in their ability to overcome incest for the sake of their trauma bond. obviously jon is going to struggle with his sense of identity after his parentage reveal but that will probably just make him and dany even more codependent because they’re just like that.
