Ok Ken (and David). As much as I hate to make you guys famous or even respond to you directly. We all die one day and you're old so fuck it. Yea yea my 2013 performance at the Grammys was absolute shit. Technical difficulties, blah blah. Thanks for the reminder. Very much appreciated. Fuck that performance though. You think that's why I kept my work out of the Grammy process this year? Don't you think I would've wanted to play the show to 'redeem' myself if I felt that way? In reality, I actually wanted to participate in honoring Prince on the show but then I figured my best tribute to that man's legacy would be to continue to be myself out here and to be successful. Winning a TV award doesn't christen me successful. It took me some time to learn that. I bought all my masters back last year in the prime of my career, that's successful. Blonde sold a million plus without a label, that's successful. I am young, black, gifted and independent.. that's my tribute. I've actually been tuning into CBS around this time of year for a while to see who gets the top honor and you know what's really not 'great TV' guys? 1989 getting album of the year over To Pimp A Butterfly. Hands down one of the most 'faulty' TV moments I've seen. Believe the people. Believe the ones who'd rather watch select performances from your program on YouTube the day after because your show puts them to sleep. Use the old gramophone to actually listen bro, I'm one of the best alive. And if you're up for a discussion about the cultural bias and general nerve damage the show you produce suffers from then I'm all for it. Have a good night.

Just so everyone is clear about the shit show that happened at the Grammys last night, the academy had an actual meeting accusing Beyonce of trying to “game” the system by dipping into several genres– such as country, blues and rock– on Lemonade and that is very much the reason they latently disrespected her.

The New York Times reported on this- “According to a senior music executive who attended the meeting, and spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the internal deliberations, there was a “very spirited debate that took maybe five minutes” and included several voters’ suspicions that by recording a rock song and a country song (“Daddy Lessons”) on her album “Lemonade,” Beyoncé was trying to “run the table” on nominations in a diverse group of categories.” (LINK)

The Grammys literally punished Beyonce– a black woman and the greatest entertainer of the past couple decades– for stretching the boundaries on music. Instead of acting with any dignity and commending such an outstanding and genre defying piece of work, they considered it an egregious threat and showed it with last night.

Where does that leave us though? He’s constantly kicked out of buildings simply on the fact that he’s a dog. Either he has the rights of the average animal (which is highly disturbing giving he’s, you know, a person) or he is a legal citizen which means a) Scooby Doo is constantly having his rights infringed upon, or b) segregation of talking animals is legal in the scooby dooniverse, and in either case the most sympathy he gets from anyone is just a “Sorry Scoob” and the keys to the mystery machine so he doesn’t freeze to death. People with legitimate green cards are being refused entry at the borders. People who were unfortunate enough to be travelling at the time Trump (spit) issued his order can’t get back home. It looks like Trump’s order is illegal according to the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. That doesn’t matter right now; any court challenge will take time.
