When we convince ourselves that God will love us or pay us even just a little more attention if we do THIS thing or THAT thing… as genuine as we may be, we are actually spitting on the feet of Jesus. His love is un•con•di•tion•al. It does not expand or deflate based on anything we do or do not do. What kind of God would He be if He was to say to you, “Well child, I’ll be honest, I loved you more when you went to church every Sunday.” Nah nah nah. He doesn’t work like that. His love is UNchanging. He loved you the same since His very first idea of even creating you, and He still loves you the same now—no matter what you’ve done. This brings me such joy, knowing that nothing I do can earn God’s love… it is His very nature.

I knew this day would come.

You said if you only knew, if you only saw, if you only felt it right before you glanced at my direction; then, you’ll scurry to grab her wrist and make her yours even if it means leaving me hither, once again, barren.

I am smashed and beaten to the core, and for how many times? I lost count. And oh pals, how it felt normal. How it felt fine to be hurt and be trashed by the ones I value the most. And I ask myself every time I am faced with a broken mirror, was that feeling even possible? To live beneath the shadows of the firsts and the bests of my lovelies? To even say that “damn! it hurts like hell” and “it’s breaking my soul” would surely be an understatement. It was something colossal compared to a shattered heart that’s been left in the floor with its cluttered pieces.

And what a twist of fate, it all started when you realized; and that’s when we’re busy savoring the moment we cherished and waited the most in the duration of our bond.

I am quite unsure what triggered your sudden musing to halt what we are and what we have. Having you near me when our hearts are clearly separated by an invisible borderline is a burden in my fragile psyche. And so you decided to take a break and calm your nerves asking for space. And I let you go to finally break away.

So I guess, in this venture, I took all the risk. And I definitely lose a big part of myself. But oh well, I finally realized you weren’t my kindred soul; and that’s because we’re obviously not reaching for the same star after all.

While pondering what to write for encouragement today I was writing messy random words, and this little phrase basically wrote itself. I love days when that happens, as it shows what my spirit is praying.

So here’s some simple encouragement for your journey - if you’ll make Jesus your everything, He’s promised to add to your life every good thing that you need.

I speak blessing, life, the encouragement and friendship of Holy Spirit, over your lives today. I pray that you know His touch and His presence in your life - even as you read this right now.

Oftentimes, people set their focus on what God has done in the past—how He parted the Red Sea or stopped the sun for Joshua or fed thousands of people with just a little boy’s small lunch. Yes, God has performed many amazing miracles throughout history, and it’s important that we give Him praise and glory. But at the same time, we also have to look forward to what God wants to do in our lives today. In this verse, Paul says that “in the ages to come,” God would do things that far supersede anything He’s ever done before. I believe that the “ages to come” he’s talking about is this day and time we’re living in right now. God wants to outdo Himself in our generation!

Remember, God is a God of increase. Where you are today is not where you are supposed to stay. He has greater levels of His favor and blessing in store for you. Dare to dream big! Dare to keep a God-sized vision in front of you! Dare to take hold of every blessing the Lord has in store for you!

At times, we look at other’s accomplishments and fret over not having the same education, career, house, or car. John 13:7 states, “You do not realize what I am doing, but later you will understand.” We may think that God is not helping us achieve what is most important to us because it seems that the people around us are experiencing the fruits of their accomplishments.

“Joseph waited 13 years. Abraham waited 25 years. Moses waited 40 years. Jesus waited 30 years. If God is making you wait, you’re in good company.”

Wait patiently and trust God’s plans for you. It could be that He is preparing you for something greater than you could ever dream, think, or imagine. Before we enjoy the promises of the Lord, He brings us on a journey to equip us. Moreover, He uses this journey to grow our faith and love for Him, that even without His promises we would still be faithful to Him and adore Him always. Therefore, everything we are going through is to prepare us for His will. Let us be still and remember that He is God.

God wants your year, your life and everything about you to be successful and wonderful. He wants you to be productive, prosperous and fulfilled in every way. God has so many wonderful blessings in store for you that if you could know them all, you would be overwhelmed with His goodness. In 1 Chronicles, a man named Jabez called out on the Lord and asked for the blessings that he knew God had for him — and don’t you know, God answered his prayer! If Jabez could know God’s favor, then you can today. The answer is simple, but amazing: you can ask the same favor from the Lord. Seek those blessings today.

There will always be critics and naysayers in life. It’s not what’s said about you that affects your life, but what you say and believe about yourself. Have the opinions of other people caused you to water down your dreams? One of the most important things you can learn is that other people don’t have to believe in you in order for your dreams to come to pass. Other people don’t set the limits for your life—you do. In Romans 3:3, the Apostle Paul is saying, “It doesn’t matter if other people don’t believe. Their unbelief is not going to keep me from believing in my dreams.” When God puts a promise in your heart, it’s not up to other people to bring it to pass; it’s up to you! You don’t need everyone to validate you. You have to follow the voice of God for yourself and allow Him to order your steps.

I have good news for you: Jesus loves you; and though you may be stereotyped now, though you may fall now, you will only be branded once more in your life, if you take the hand of Christ, and His label that He sacrificed everything, and paid the price, in order for you to have freely… The label reads ‘Forgiven’.
